Great place and great view. However police came by at 11pm and told us it was not allowed to camp here or make fire. They let us stay the night.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Perfect place to stay near the Lake. It’s possible to Swim but it’s cold. Ok for many big rigs. No need high clearance. Very quiet and safe.
Report Check-InStayed 1 night to do the nice and easy walk to the puente del piedra.

Report Check-InIncredible sunset!! Beware, police did came by night and told us that fire was not allowed since it is a National Park, they let us sleep there although.
Report Check-InGreat place and great view. Nobody around. Beautiful sunrise. Quite high altitude. At this time of the year first freezings happens.
Report Check-InStill a relay nice place.we had it for oure self on a Saturday night...
Report Check-InWhat a beautiful and quiet place to spend the night. We loved it!
NB Heading North: take the dirt track before you pass the big (blue and white) information/tourist sign.
Beautiful Beach spot right on the lake. Exposed and no shade, but incredible views of the Volcano and mountains.
Located at the far west end of the south arm of Lago Cavihue. Gravel area at the end of a small road. If you are headed south, as the road starts to pull away from the lake there is a dirt road on the left that heads north. Go about 500m and take the left road, follow the road as it goes towards the lake. Dirt road is ok, but there may be some areas were a low clearance vehicle might have problems. It passes a small structure/house, no one around when we passed by. This spot is labeled as a point of interest on the tourist maps so we figure it's fine to be here.
Really pretty place.
