Closed for the season. Bathrooms locked and chain across the entrance.

Report Check-In

The vegetation is very dense, not a lot of light and not goof for Starlink.

This is a national park. Fishing is prohibited!

Always a pleasure to wake up at a Doug Tompkins Foundation campsite! This one is no exception, blending beautifully into the landscape, right on the lake and wonderfully isolated from everyone - we could be at an expensive lodge except for the tent out the back! Lovely view from the first shelter which has benches, table, shelves and posts for the hammock. Short distance from car park to carry in. Very peaceful night and wonderful chorus of happy frogs in the evening! Would happily hang out here with a good book for a few days!

Fantastic place - especially for me (cyclist) when i arrived in pouring rain. They have great lakeside shelters where you can pitch your tent and use the covered picnic table. Beautiful view over the lake. Clean basic sanitary- only cold water.

Report Check-In

Officially closed until 15 December 23, like all campsites in Pumalín

Report Check-In

Excellent spot for the night, cold water only but you can swim in the lake and use the toilet/washing up facilities. I think it is closed at the moment but this just means you don't have to pay as there is no one to pay!!
try to take rubbish away with you though

We felt lucky to snag the last open spot on a very rainy night. Bathroom are spotless and the views from the sites are lovely. It has a bit of an empty feeling due to the fact that there are no communal gathering spaces and no host present. Note that the drive to Caleta Gonzalo to catch the ferry can take nearly an hour.

Report Check-In

Awesome place. A good first stop after getting off the ferry. Most folks drive on to Chaiten, so this place was empty when we stayed. Campsites are covered, and clean. Bathrooms available and clean as well. Amazing view of the lake, volcano, and glacier, incredible night. Be warned though, The Frogs !! I am sure it is seasonal, but we were surrounded by all the frogs in Patagonia, and their chirping was almost deafening for most of the night. I guess thats why we have jack daniels. !! Enjoy

Arrived and it seemed closed but bathrooms were open so we stayed. Amazing place, quiet, clean and has running water.

Report Check-In

Closed at the moment, could not find more info about this.

Amazing campsite! Clean bathrooms, great shelters with table and benchs... Direct view to the river and the volcano(!). As said before, cold showers and timed. Six spots for cars and small vans.
If you find "Canelo" free, go to that one, the best view of them all.
Also incredible fishing here, we usually release, but since in Chile isnt mandatory and it was a bleeder we ate a big rainbow enough for a full meal of two.
We released the rest, which was also a lot.

The place is not free even on 10th of March. I decided to take it slow and at
10:30 rangers arrived to register and take the free of 16000. So if you are on a budget, leave early. Still, the place is beautiful

Beautiful campsite with great facilities. All campsites had a place to pitch up with a sheltered seating area. Our spot (called Luma) was big enough to pitch our tent under and shelter from the rain! Loved it.
Think it was supposed to cost 16,000 per plot but the ranger didn’t come to collect.

Report Check-In

stayed here 4 nights at arrayan site. luma is probably the best sheltered from any wind direction, if you were to be expecting rain. all sites are covered. no communal area. two bathrooms. no charge this time of year.

Report Check-In

Nice camp site along the lake. not many flat place. (just 2)
but very good equipment, each place have a palapa, cover roof with table and bench. great view of the lake.

free at this time of the year, august low season.

Report Check-In

We pulled into El Volcán to find its 12 sites full. We drove down a little further to Lago Blanco and were the only people there. The sites each have a parking space and an assigned quincho right on the lake. We have a roof top tent and used only the parking space. The price is 16000 pesos per site, but because we didn’t use the quincho, we were only charged for parking - 6000 pesos. There is enough room for big rigs and roof top tents in all but one of the 6 sites. The bathroom was clean with cold showers only. There is clean portable water with very easy access here.

Report Check-In

This campsite is better for tents then for campervans/big rigs. Each site has a private parking lot and covered place next to the lake (including a picnic table) where is possible to pitch a tent. The cost are 16.000 pesos per site (national park is free though). Because we have a campervan we could only really use the parking lot so we decided to stay at camping El Volcan which is better for suited for vans. The rangers came by in the late afternoon but didn’t gave a discount if we only use the parking lot.

Report Check-In

With a van/rig, this campsite is not that good. I'd recommend to go a few km further south to El Volcan, which is bigger and further off the Carretera.

Report Check-In

Very good campsite. Toilets clean in nice building. Cold shower.

Report Check-In

This is a great place for fishing. The last camping spot has a longer walk down but there is direct access to the lake, a few reeds but not enough to interfere with fishing. Good sized trout - one was enough to provide a tasty dinner for two!

Report Check-In

beautiful campsite with a little beach, with cold shower. Be careful, only 6 sites !

Report Check-In

we were able to park at the first spot and connect our hose to the outdoor sink in order to have hot showers on a cold rainy day. the bridge says 4T and if you're worried you can just continue further down route 7 and end from the campground exit. parking sites are not huge so very big rigs might have an issue.

Beautiful view on the lake and watch jumping trout on your feet. Good sanitary cold water. Exclusive spots to camp and enjoy view. Close to road with only ferry connecting traffic.

Crazy beautiful camping! Probably better for those with tents than cars but still amazing. Each site has a car park on the drive through area (where you need to stay if you stay in your car), a flat tent camping site, own rubbish bin, beautiful undercover area with table and benches overlooking lake (getting the afternoon sun! (Which at this time of year lasts till 9.10pm)). 2 good bathrooms. Beautiful! Haven’t had to pay yet as in quiet season (still late evening though, but have heard they don’t charge until 15 December), but happily would pay the low price of 5,000 CLP per person!!

Report Check-In

We went here after the volcano Chaitén hike and had a great stay all alone with sunshine. Since it was off-season we didn’t have to pay at all, like everywhere in the park, though a ranger came in the evening to check on us. Water was cold though, but we had a short dip in the freezing lake instead ;)

Report Check-In

very nice location with view over the lake, clean toilets, no hot water

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Nice campground with good sheltered places. Beautiful views over the lake. Clean. Toilet and cold showers.
Good for tents and vans/small campers
Unfortunately horseflies when we were there
Stayed one night, nobody came to change
