Latest Check-Ins

When we were here in March the campground was full shortly after noon, even on weekdays. We stayed in one of the lower campgrounds the first night and then moved to this one when spaces opened up. Good spot central to all the park highlights. We drove by the campground at Panamint on the way out and it is much more beautiful… but also much further from the Park’s main attractions.

FCFS Small, dry campground up the hill with a nice view. $8 per night senior price, cc only at kiosk. Host on site. Tables, fire pits, water, dish sinks, flush toilets, trash, dump station. Sites are small, graveled, close together, and not level. No gennys allowed so it was quiet with stellar star gazing. Best CG in the Furnace Creek area. Fills up early on weekends, otherwise it wasn’t full. Separate section for tents only. We love it here. 4 bars LTE Verizon

This was closed as of 20th of May - maybe closed for summer?

Stayed in all campgrounds in Furnace Creek as this is probably the best one. Very popular, spaces are small but nice. Since no generators are allowed, most people have a tent, a van or pick-up truck.

Stayed 2 nights here, crowded but decent spot as a Basecamp for the park. Spots are very close to each other, some hardly big enough for a vehicle/tent combo. Pluses include bathrooms, dish washing stations and plenty of potable water.

Recommend getting there by noon or earlier on a weekend in the busy spring season. We got there around 11am and there were only 3 spots left on a Friday.

A pretty much nothing CG. Dusty and no shade but OK for a night after touring the area. We paid $8 with senior discount. No ATT service.

One night here. No reservation, but plenty of spaces. Running water in restrooms and potable standpipe. Good stop while exploring the park.

The best campground I saw at Death Valley, no generators, quiet at night, filled up on the weekend. Can go to the ranch at Death Valley and swim and shower for $14 a person as well!

Bathrooms with running water, washing sinks and level parking spots. There is a lot of RV type parking spots as well some more eclectic tent camping spots. The camp host Bob was awesome and a wealth of information on how to travel the park. He is an off-roader and was able to provide guidance on traction and trail width.

Great spot if you choose your spot well & to do that arrive early. We arrived at 3 on a Tuesday and snagged the 2nd to last spot .... moved to a better site abs felt much more at ease (I like to be more remote ... so being slap bang in the centre of 50 RVs was not great for me). Very nice hosts abs friendly campers. Showers, water and dump all clean.

This is the place to be if you want to be in a campground and not have generator noise! No generators allowed here *at any time*.

There are two sections of this campground: a bottom, prettier one with some shade for tent campers, and an upper one that's just a bunch of gravel spots on a hill, with edges designated by painted lines. Sites along the edge are best for those of us not keen on RV park-style camping.

There is water, wash stations, flush toilets, garbage and recycling, and a dump station on the way out. Picnic tables and fire pits. Colored desert hills surround you. Bonus: all the people I met there were very friendly and down to earth.

The park could be doing more to prevent COVID: there were no "masks required" signs on the bathrooms nor requests to leave doors propped open for airflow.

Nice campground, but almost no shade. Good and clean restrooms.
Dump station with potable water available.
T-Mobile is only 3g, therefor quite slow.
No discount for seniors from outside the USA👎

Nice, clean campsite. Not many people here now-wouldn't want to be here when packed! Bathrooms & water, fire pits. $16 per night, $8 for seniors. Nice hikes close by. Beautiful valley.
