Something not right?

Description

We stayed at the Coronaz Restaurant, but the owner said this large parking lot is free and public and parking overnight is no problem. There are a few palm trees for shade. Look for the full size wrecked airplane in the parking lot right next to the naval base. There are plenty of garbage cans around. Dozens of restaurants along the beach with really cheap beer. Also, beer store right next to lot.

Spend our first two nights here after taking the ferry from La Paz. Good spot to sleep, right across the street from a nice beach.

Saturday night some people were playing loud music and drinking from ~9pm - midnight, but we never felt unsafe.

Sunday night was quiet 👍🏼

Spent two quiet nights at this location but there isn’t the “ airplane “ anymore . Make sure you get a spot under one of the few trees to guarantee yourselves some shade. Restrooms and showers at any restaurant across the street with a small fee. Beach 50 steps away and Village at walking distance. Fire dept. station offered us to fill our tank with their fresh water .

good free lot next to ambulance parking. we felt very safe. someone came into the lot and blasted ranchero music from 1am to 2am, good if you like Mexican polka music to wake you up.

note on san blas: we wanted to love this place but we were eaten alive by noseeums. we heard the bugs were bad but didnt know they were the same noseeums that terrorize florida. its two days later and we are miserable. if we knew the bugs were noseeums, we would have avoided san blas and contined south. bugs get exponentially better about 15km south.

We stayed here for 3 nights on week days. Not a problem. There are restaurants and the beach is right there. Restaurante Alicia lend us shower and water for our camper. Be ready for the mosquitos.

Free empty parking lot. The plane isn’t there anymore- but the lot is across from the big boat that is on display. There is a office where the ambulance and civil police (?) come and go from. Asked the guy on duty and he said camping was free and okay.
The sounds of music coming from everyone’s cars at all hours was impressive. So loud and very entertaining. Wish we could speak better Spanish and party with everyone.
We were there on a Saturday night.
San Blas has Bugs- be prepared.

Awesome little parking lot in San Blas. Less sand flies than beach we stayed at down the street the night before. Grassy parking lot- nice for the doggies. Good for a stop over

Nice place to overnight. Noisy during weekends or holidays but otherwise it’s a good place to rest for free.

nice level lot to park for free. we ate at the restaurants across the street, they all have showers and flushing bathrooms which you can use if you eat or drink there, then slept here. very little noise from a few motorcycles passing by but otherwise really quiet. we sprayed ourselves with repellent and had no issues with mosquitoes.

there is nothing left of the airplane so don't look for that. it's just the big empty parking lot on the corner.

Report Check-In

Large free parking lot next to debris of a whole (well, almost) airplane. Level, little shade. Was quiet on a Thursday night in March, but wouldn't count on it. Stayed 150m south at the bomberos' parking lot / junk yard. Sand flies for everyone!
