RV camping self registration $16.75 unserviced. Huge parking lot, not leveled. Park ranger came by around 8:30pm to check self registration and for national parks passes.
It's one of the highest points in the park, so can be cold. But with view to the glacier very nice.
At the visitercenter is fast internet.
Great cell service signal too (only in summer!).
Next dumping station in Jasper.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
parking area is on same side of road as lodge building.
not real level but not bad. wifi at lodge is good. u can sit out on the tables, watch all the goings on and surf.
cell service on tmobile/telus is good. 4 bar lte.
16.75 self registration at hut on right as u turn in parking area.
Report Check-InGreat location with a beautiful view on the glaciers, can get cold by night, big parking with a lots of space!
Report Check-InArrived quite late and needed a place to spend the night. I stayed here but didn't pay anything. I didn't know I'd had to. I left quiet early too. as others said great place, great view and sunrise.
Report Check-In17 CAD for a parking lot used as an RV “campground”. No tables, no fire pits. Went to Wilcox campground and had an awesome evening at the fire pit (wood is available for free).
Report Check-InVery Nice stop. View on th glacier.
$16.75 for thé night.
Toilets are clean
Quiet at night, good cell service. Clean pit toilets to use when centre closed.
Report Check-InGreat spot for a night. At the foot of the glacie, we were prepared for a cold night, but not cold at all. Paid checking in starts May 17th, so we stayed for free. With maybe 25 other rv’s. Not level, so levelling blocks needed
Report Check-Innice spot! what a beautyfull view! the next day we going to the icefield expetition but its was not worth it. to expensive.
Report Check-InStayed here two nights. Not level. Beautiful view. Surprisingly great signal with rogers. Clean out toilets.
Report Check-Inthere are not much possibilities for trucks over 25ft, huge parking, not Level, some campers with generator, nice views, very windy, 10 degree 6 pm 28.08.22, 16,75$ self register, perfect for the night

Pit toilets. Not level spots but not too bad either. Nice views. Quiet night.

Report Check-InNot level spot, $16,05 self registration, nice view on the Icefield, full moon at night and nice sunrise on the mountains
Report Check-InPark ranger came by around 8:30pm to check self registration and for national parks passes. Great views. We arrived to the Icefield center around 5pm, signed up for the 6pm Skywalk tour and arrived back by 7:45pm. This was a great time to go, it was the last tour of the day so it was not as busy. The Icefield center also has a couple restaurants, Starbucks and a gift shop.
Report Check-InAmazing view in a handy spot.
$16.05 for the night, self registration.
Toilets near by, and a Starbucks in the nearby ice field centre which was nice in the morning.
We camped there that night so that we could go on the morning tour of the glacier and sky walk, which were both well worth doing.
Yes, you must pay $16.01 per night to park here. The park ranger was collecting money from the self-registration kiosk as we arrived. C'mon - pay the fee. It's worth it to visit this spectacular place.
Report Check-InDefinitely not for free, normal 16.05 Cad with self registration, rangers came by and checked an 9pm. Nice view though and with the overflow camping at snaring river the only site where you dont have to pay the 9 cad fire permit that is mandatory since 2021.
Report Check-InJust a parking lot but excellent views of the glacier, which is in walking distance. Now it's free too.
Report Check-InTotally wonderful , if you’re self sufficient .
The view is just amazing , we went for a walk on the glacier just in front of the spot
free spot for one night, because no one cares about the self registration (maybe because of covid). nice view at the glacier, but can be a little bit chilly. just a parking lot with some camping tables and pit toilets
Report Check-InNot leveled mostly. No noise at night from the highway.
15,70 CAD/car/night
Just a parking lot but great view of the glacier. Night was quiet and cold. It’s 15,70$ self registration, just put the money in an envelope or leave your credit card details. There is free wifi and a filtered water machine at the visitor center just next to it.
Report Check-InAmazing spot. Thanks for Parks Canada for making this available. We paid at the Parks Canada desk since the self pay kiosk was out of envelopes. Get up and hit the glacier early. It can get crowded.
Report Check-InGreat big, clean lot, not all level. Amazing view of glaciers. Can be cold and windy.
Cafe exploit with $8 pizza slice and $14 burgers.
Great place to break up the Banff / Jasper run.
Report Check-InLarge RV parking lot at Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Center. Somewhat level.
Report Check-InDormimos una noche aca. Tranquilo y con una vista increible, tiene baños (de los chotos)
Report Check-InAmazing views of the glaciers. Rangers pass to check the payments.
Report Check-InVery nice. We not pay. No sigs and no information the pay. Good wi fi in visitor center. We stay here two night.
Report Check-InParking lot for RV (and all kind of vehicles actually). Amazing view on the glaciers. Self-registration camping, 15.7 dollars fee
Report Check-InParking field, Self-Registration but there is no price written. So we asked other people and they said that they not are going to pay anything. I guess noboady paied. For us it worked well.
It's one of the highest points in the park, so can be cold. But with view to the glacier very nice.
