Amazing views from this wild camp. No bathrooms at this location. You can drive/walk to Tavertine Hot Springs up the road where there is a pit toilet. As of 2/24/2024 entry and many spots muddy. Come prepared and please keep this place clean and Free!

Report Check-In

Update to my review.

I spent about an hour digging the bad spot of the road out. I smoothed bumps and filled in the crevasse created by runoff. Our drive out was smooth sailing, just go left to right on that part (from both ways).

No guarentees that will stay, though. I'd think a big rain might recreate the crevasse.

Report Check-In

As described, a bunch of exposed parking near the hot springs.

We got a 35 foot skoolie in here. It was such a chill drive in until one single spot, which I think we did bottom out a little bit.
You could find a level spot, but no guarentee it wouldn't be taken. We are here mid November and there are a couple of other rigs.

One to three bars of att 4g lte

Report Check-In

very nice stop for the night. there was about 7 other cars here and lots of traffic going to/from the hot springs. beautiful spot regardless. the other campers were all respectful and we slept wonderfully. about 3 bars of 4g service with at&t. 3 bars 5g with the
signal booster on.

Report Check-In

Beautiful sunrise at the hot springs! Decent road, totally doable in a 2wd 170 sprinter. Enough space for at least 5 rigs. We’ll be back!

Report Check-In

Great spot. several different pull-ins so eventhough there are other people you have your own spot.

Report Check-In

This spot is epic! Stayed 1 night in campervan. Soaked in the natural hot springs the next morning. Road into the place was pretty rough but doable at slow pace. Good 5G T-Mobile service.

Report Check-In

Great spot, the hot springs are stunning and pretty easy to reach. The camping spot is about a kilometer down the road and has great views of the valley. Plenty of other campers when we were there, there is enough space to spread out but nothing to hide from view. Very dark at night so amazing stargazing oppertunities.

Report Check-In

What a spot! Even if you're not interested in the spring it's a stunning location, great views, very quiet. The springs are about 15 min walk from the campsite or a short but hilly bike ride. Some people seemed to be camping in the carpark at the springs but there is a no camping sign there. Better to stay at this location.

Report Check-In

The road to the camping spots aren't too bad right now. Definitely drivable with a 2wd vehicle and low clearance. Going up to the hotsprings gets a little rough so I left my van and took my motorcycle. It is also walkable to the hotsprings from the camp. The hotsprings have quite a bit of algae already.

Report Check-In

Drove up to this first pull off, where 6 or so other people are camped, pretty easily in the van. Only one spot was washed out, just take it slow, park, then walk the last 1/2 mile to the hot springs. Very nice! If you are camping go around sunset or early morning, it was great. Pretty busy area, but was still able to find a bath to ourselves on a Saturday night.

Report Check-In

Cowabunga. I should have taken a picture when I got up to the top. If you’ve got a 4x4 you would be okay. My class C was screaming, mud and massive potholes and ditches. It’s a miracle I didn’t get stuck. Turned around at the top, came back down. There’s some campers and the springs seem like a riot, tons of cars but everyone said it’s the worst the roads been in a while. You can park at the base and walk up and scope it out. It gets bad quick, there was cars stuck further ahead. @explore_RLT

Report Check-In

As described by others. Ground tents allowed but pick your spot carefully.

Report Check-In

No-one here when i arrived. i even managed to get a level spot for my bus. Perfect!

Report Check-In

Small dirt road ends in a loop that could fit 4-5 campers/vans. Another smaller loop at the back end occupied by a large trailer setup. It’s open and exposed to the current 30kt wind, but it’s flat and as good as anywhere.

Report Check-In

Definitely a very popular spot! I arrived at around 5pm on a Monday and all the spots at this exact location were already taken. However, just before this spot there is another loop with 4 more spots. 3 of them are certainly only accessible with 4×4. The very first one I easily accessed in my RWD van. So if this exact spot is full there is more on this loop and a couple other spots along the main road. The hot springs are also some of the best I've ever checked out!

Report Check-In

Great place to spend the night, it’s a bit popular so it can be packed but it’s well worth it!

Report Check-In

Lots of spots. 3 min from springs. 2 bars LTE with AT&T

Report Check-In

Nice area, no amenities except one toilet at the hot springs parking further down the road. Road is bumpy but ok. Some cell signal. 3 main hot springs, with two more colder ones further along the trail. All 3 main springs were taken when we got there at about 9am.

Report Check-In

Arrived at dusk with two other vans, and a pop-tent already in for the snowy night. Woke up, drove 1/2 mile and immediately jumped in the hot springs. Great vibes all around the area. Be self sufficient, only 1 pit toilet up the road.

Report Check-In

We are at the turn around loop camp area. Nice flat spot with a fire pit and a few hills to block the wind.

Report Check-In

Showed up at 6 PM on a Saturday and every hot springs pool was full of people. Nothing too crazy though and we were still able to find a spot to camp for the night. We tried the hot springs again on Sunday at 8 AM and we’re the only people there for over an hour. There is a pit toilet and garbage near the springs. Cell service on ATT was in-and-out.

Report Check-In

Snow created a little bit of a challenge getting in, but not to bad with 4x4, decent tires and good clearance. A Subaru wagon was able to get to here after the trail was packed down enough. Little bit of road noise from 395 and we’ll traveled during the day for the hot springs, but otherwise secluded.

Report Check-In

Came here after spending a few nights at Buckeye Hot Springs where I chose not to get in because nobody was social distancing or masking. Here at Travertine there are more options with the various pools so it was easier to get a soak in :o) yay

Report Check-In

Nice little spot to sleep while traveling. Busy spot. Lots of available sites.

Report Check-In

This is beautiful. Amazing spot. All kinds of dispersed camping separated by different roads. Find your favorite spot and enjoy. We may see you there!!

Report Check-In

Still great! Many pools. Excellent time!

Report Check-In

Located off 395 a short drive to the hot springs, free camping spots on BLM land a little highway noise but price is right. no services, data works

Report Check-In

3-4 solid parking spots 1/2 mile from the hot springs. It’s off the main road so traffic noise is minimal, though cars do drive that desert road at night to look at stars, so the occasional car lights become a bit of a disturbance.

I really liked staying here!!!
Soaked in the hot springs to start my day.

Report Check-In

Okey for one night. Very windy, make sure you get some wind cover behind your rig. The hot springs are nice but rather crowded. Good supply on wood (bush roots) for a campfire.

Report Check-In

Stayed for one night in a pull out right before the hot springs signs.
Got here right after sunset, and no cars have been through the road after 9pm.

Report Check-In

Rough dirty road but 2WD ok. Cold as high but nice place for several cars and quiet.
No amenities.

Report Check-In

Yep, a pretty rough road for a half a mile to get up here, but it was doable with our 28 ft Class A. Just go slow, and it's worth it.

Report Check-In

Turn off on left side of dirt road right before travertine hot spring “no camping” sign. Easily accessible for 2 WD, enough room for 6ish cars/vans, might be good for small RVs but maybe not big rigs. Put toilet at the actual hot spring further down the road. Decent cell service. Amazing hot springs and view of the stars. Right after the town of Bridgeport. Get to the hot springs early gets crowded!

Report Check-In

Road in poor condition and no shelter. Didn't feel safe or allowed to camp so we moved on.

Report Check-In

beautiful location without any convenience, beautiful views chain mountainous and close to travertine hot Springs. track accessible with our camper 24 '.

Report Check-In

Good hot springs. Nice view. The three springs, past the pit toilets together are Goldilocks-like. Hot, warm, cold, colder. The one at the edge of the parking lot before the pit toilets is the warmest. The one past the Goldilocks is a warm spring just a bit more of a walk.

Report Check-In

A couple of very convenient spots after soaking in the nearby hot spring of Travertine. No amenities, some spots with a fire pit, free

The food and petrol is very expensive in Bridgeport. 1 Gallon Diesel for 4$.
