Ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera | Vehicle Shipping

Got this ferry with my van, took an hour or so to cross from continent to península. Cost 30 dólars for a 5 mts long van, driver and one passanger. In my experience there is no need to buy in advance, justo be patient.

Tomamos el ferry con mi van, tomo una hora desde el continente a la península. Costo 30 dólares una van de 5 mts de largo, conductor y pasajero. En mi experiencia no reservaría, solo llegar, esperar a que venga el ferry y salga.

it's really smooth to book online, recommended.
it's really hot, so for motorcyclists the smoother the papers the less hassle and sweat.
when you arrive the clerk checks your plate and gives you the receipt u give to the second clerk while entering the boat.
motorcycles are stored on the side of the boat.

For now only 7am-12pm-5pm.. we paid crc17200 for pickup/camper and crc810pp..
You can book online to min. 2 hrs before .. if you can’t book online, drive to harbor and they check if they have room and they give you a orange card to go purchase tickets. Very friendly!!

Drove up to ferry entrance, the man gave us a laminated card and allowed me to drive up to the front of the line. Then passenger had to get out and walk across the street to get a ticket for both the driver and herself. They had her walk on and had me drive. Hide your external propane tank before you board. They said that the captain won't allow us on with the propane in sight. We boarded the ferry about 45 min before the scheduled 5:00pm. No reservations needed. Cost only $27 USD for two people, our dog and a big landcruiser. We had to keep our dog in the car with the fan on. Liquor, beer and snacks are onboard.
