Beautiful site by the river. Ask the people at the restaurant, it was ok to stay overnight. It's free. Wild river next to it. Plenty of fresh water. Safe, perfect to rest after a few days at the beach
find the place on the river called Rio de Copalita, its right down the road and the restaurant name is Comedor Prehispanico, cant miss it. Its about 50 yards from the river next to a tire shop.

From here you can go north towards cascadas del Llano Grande, it is 1-2hours difficult road, but worth it is you also visit: Cascadas mágicas de copalitilla. Park and walk up the path by the river 1km to find several sets of waterfalls. the last set has a cave and you can swim. Lots of butterflies. Getting here takes forever, though. Be prepared for a rough road with many big “topes” and lots of strep up and down bends.
