We came here for the thermal bath! We have been to much nicer ones but the village old yura is worth a visit. We have been to the Pazo Fiero Viejo. It is 10 sol for one adult and one hour. You have to buy the ticket at the hotel reception. Our daughter (5y) was free. Our baby wasn’t allowed because of the high minerals :-)

Nice place. A little noisy at night because of some dogs. Nobody bothered us.

We came here just for the thermal bath. There are three spots: Tigre and Tadeo Haenke (about 32°C); Zamácola (a swimming pool, about 25°C); Fierro Viejo (this one, where the waypoint for camping is, about 30°C and 32°C). Each has different medicinal effects.

Facilities a bit tired, but OK. We enjoyed the bath (at 5 Soles plus 1.5 for a cap (to keep)).

Really nice spot just outside arequipa. We parked at the parking lot but there was no facilities around to use at night time (restaurant across the road let us use bathroom during day). Would reccomend parking down the hill a bit more as you would be near grass and a fresh water stream. Really nice surroundings would also reccomend going for a mini trek up the mountains near the car park, has stunning views and very little rubbish at the top. There's inside and outside pools but they didn't look appealing to us so we didn't try them. Felt reasonably safe overnight but not the safest we've felt, lots of dogs barking throughout the night but wasn't an issue for us. No traffic throughout the night. Would reccomend as a good overnight spot.

Lots of barking dogs and cars passing with loud music, but other than that no problems. Seemed like a very safe spot. When a police car drove by we asked if it was ok to stay there and they said it def was. Close to their office.

not a huge carpark but 6 parking bays for vehicles. clses at 3pm normally space available after.

It is quiet from sunset to sunrise except a group of dogs barking about an hour around midnight. The clean therma opens from 8:00-15:00 and costs 4 plus optional 1.5 for borrowing a swimming cape. It offers a realy great hot shower, but the pool is with only about 25℃ to cold to enjoy. 350m down the road is another terma with 32℃ water, but we didn't tried. An other great option for warm water is Aqua Calientes 15km away - see out wild camping entry there.

Stayed here overnight with our small van. Nice spot, close to the street but not many people and cars. You can do canopy here and/or go into the termas. Termas are not so spectacular but it's good for relaxing.

Report Check-In

Good overnight parking just in front of Ariquipa.

Lukewarm water with iron, greenish color. Only locals, 5 sol + 1.5sol for the cap. Enjoyable environment.

We've just spent 3 quiet nights here. We didn't use the baths but did walk down to the old town - it has a nice church. A few dogs around but otherwise not much overnight disturbance.

Facing one of the revenues of the baths there is a public beach area parking lot where we were to spend the day and night. For $ 5 soles can go to the baths and rest a bit before going to the big city of Arequipa. Front has 2 moderately priced restaurants (menu $ 10 soles). Please note that everything closes at 17hs in the village.
