Beautiful quiet spot with great shelter among lots of trees. Views of the canyons. Very tranquil and peaceful with surprisingly no flies considering its by the river. Some fire pits have been made by other people. Soil is good for tents. Coming from East, take the dirt road off the 25 before the slight turning. If you see a shrine and a pathway going up the hill as a viewpoint, you've gone too far. Pay attention to the muddy parts.

Very quiet place. We did not go next to the river as it was muddy but found protection from the wind between the trees.
Report Check-InNice and quiet, perfect for a good night of sleep. Be careful with the mud, it doesn’t show but is really deep, we almost got stucked. Plenty of space.
Report Check-InBeautiful place. If it’s dry 4x4 can go to the river. 2x4 should stop before the sand and stay under the trees, also beautiful.
Report Check-Insafe, quiet, hardly visible from the road. if you drive down to the shore you can get it muddy if you want, but if you stay closer to the Rock you enjoy a view over the characteristic landscape. no claro, no facilities. 2wd possible.
Report Check-Inbeautiful place with some wild horses (!) be very careful at the water, the sand is very tricky and its easy to get stuck (spend 2 hours digging the car back out 😄)
Report Check-InFirst place I had to leave because of the flies. After 2 hours I gave up, they kept coming into the car through the smallest holes in the muskieto nets.
But such an amazing area. I drove 80km east to another spot on the river, but was met with the same flies 😢.
Indeed very quite and nice. However not many sites that are levelled and a lot of low hanging branches. Although the branches are only small it’s not really ideal for big rigs.
There is another site a bit further (1-2 km max, probably only a few hundred meters) down R25 (coming from Trelew) that looked pretty good when passing. Although it is not as far away from the road and not hidden, it should be good since there isn’t much traffic anyhow.
Report Check-InLots of little flies but nice area. Be aware of the sandy ground if you want to drive closer to the river. We had some problems..
Report Check-InA really nice and quiet place in the nature! You can camp on the edge of the river ! We are with a camper , but a tent is a good choice too !
We are now a few hours here , and we have seen nobody till now !
Comming from Esquel , you just pass the hill , and direct after you will see a small gravelroad on the left side . We followed this road about 700 meters till the end ( you can't go further ) . You are just behind the big rocks , you can't see and hear the travic . A wonderfull place !!!!
Dropped in to see what it’s like...is as nice as it describes but as soon as we got out the van we were surrounded by loads of flies... we had to leave! Massive shame as it’s a good spot
Report Check-InFor us the perfekt place to camp. Wunder full scenery at the river, nobody see from the street and in the night quiet and the stars just gorgeous.had the place for us, maybe at weekends not so quiet?
Report Check-InA nice and quiet spot, even though we couldn't make it all the way to the bbq-spots because that part was floaded, due to heavy rainfall. We just kept driving straightahead and almost at the end on the right side there was space to park.
A welcoming place since there are not many wildcamp opportunities around the RN25.
After this spot we took the beautiful RP12, highly recommended ruta!!!
Very nice place to spent the night! We choose our spot a bit further than the bbq area. And we also took a swim.
NB you have to take the small road before reaching the top of the hill.
