Before we came here, we asked to stay at the other beach spot which is also in iOverlander. We were not allowed to stay there, but the guy of the Municipaldad recommended this spot and said it is more "tranquillo".
It's a parking lot directly at the smaller beach. If you come after 7pm you don't have to pay for parking. Otherwise it costs 280 Pesos per 30 Minutes from 9.30am till 7pm.
We stayed next to the birdwatching information center (free guided tours on friday and saturdays) and the friendly guy gave us the wifi-password. He also said that there is a security guy from 8pm till 8am. Parking lot is monitored.
Free toilets are open till about 8pm. Shower is available on the beach (cold).
During the night some locals came with their Kids and played at the beach. We also heard an acapella girls' group singing. At about 5am they prepared the beach with a tractor. Before that we heard a car making Donuts at the dusty parking lot. Tranquillo?!
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

We were asked by the police to leave the place because it is forbidden to spend the night there. They took us to the Mirador Valle del Mar, where we could stay.
Report Check-InThis place is not available for motorhomes.
There is a sign up saying "no ingresar Casas Rodantes ni similares ".
Parking fee for regular vehicles is now 25 pesos per minute (1500 pesos per hour).
See my other post for a spot to park.
Nice place for a night. We arrived in the afternoon of a Saturday, there was quite some people but the parking lot is huge. The beach is okay but nothing spectacular in my opinion.
People coming and going all night, but no one bothered us. Lots of fishermen in the morning.
We spent two nights here. It’s a beautiful beach with a big open parking area. We were here during the week and people came and went all day and u til after midnight, but it’s quiet and calm. The bird watching building was closed the whole time we were there. We weren’t bothered and the police drove by many times. No amenities, but we are self contained so it worked for us.
Report Check-Inwe stayed here one night for free on the parkingplace. Nice and quiet, friendly helpfull staff. If you ask it's poss. to get power and wifi, also could shower and toilet.
