Latest Check-Ins

Very corrugated road. Ferry running. Asked 60 because my defender was higher than standard 😒

Report Check-In

The ferry is running, but the 2 men in front of the ferry asked us 200 BRL for taking our truck-camper over the river. This is far too much, since exactly the same truck without a camper in the bed came from the ferry, the driver told us he paid 60 BRL. Because we didn’t want to pay 200 BRL, they didn’t want to take us with them and went empty to the other side. At return, we asked another crew member for the correct price (the older man that collects the money, instead of the two men that fix the ropes to the poles at the shore). He asked 100 BRL, which feels in fact still high ... but driving around to the other side is much more expensive. They took us from the village side to the other side (where the indication is put on the map). Here stayed overnight, because in the mean time it was already dark. We asked a man, he told us where to park (in front of the building at the left side, when coming from the ferry). Free!

ferry working in early June. road is being remade and easy for a 2 wheel drive, however the dust on the new surface is terrible so camping along this road is not recommended. the mosquito population is enormous and very welcoming of your visit...citronella and other alternative non deet repellents are useless.

The ferry is runnig but be aware that they make a lunch break from 12.00 until 02.00pm - we had to wait and there is no infrastructure (restaurant, toilet) on the east side of the river. Real 50 for Car (Toyota) and 2 People.

WARNING! We arrived here today and there was no ferry for crossing the river. We asked the woman there and she said there are no ferries (since 2 days!) for 2 months, untill July. The road to the ferry at the end was very tricky ( a lot of places with high water- 60cms). So better inform good before planning to do the loop.

En este punto se coge un ferry para cruzar el rio, a nosotros nos han cobrado 70R$ por un camion pequeño pero, pensamos que es mas barato y que han subido el precio
