Brazil
The place was was of the most beautiful in southern Brazil—really surprised it's not on here already. This beach won prises for being one of the world's most beautiful.
When arriving, you slowly make your way into a small village, very picturesque. The road turns narrower and after some driving you get to the beach. Crowded by day, at night it's deserted. You can park in a street just by the beach and wake up with the most amazing view. Police passed once while we had light and music on and didn't bother. Quite far from residential areas.
At night if you're keen you can walk to the village in 15 mins from this parking; plenty of good restaurants and live music. Very hippie vibes to the place.
The road is not reported on the iOverlanding map, but just follow the signs for Praia do Rosa (Sul)—really easy as the road is one.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
passed two very bad nights Sunday to Tuesday due to loud music and drunk people
Report Check-InSpent two quiet nights here in off season. Such a beautiful sunrise and nice trails around to do a little hiking nearby. It's fishing season so surfing is only allowed in Canto Norte (Northside of the beach). If the waves are bigger and you get lucky like I did, the fishermen will open the Rosa do Sul for surfing as well!
Report Check-Ingreat place to pass the night, but the road is very small for big RVs and we recomended to go in afternoon to avoid the fiscalization.
Report Check-InThis is one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever been to! Absolutely loved it. You need to park in the direction of the town (like headlights facing the town) in order to not get a multa, some other overlanders told us as we parked. Strange rule but so worth the views! There is flat parking right next to the steps going down to the beach.
Report Check-Incoming from the north this beach is not really worth a stop. it's not bad but it's also not special... good for surfing I guess.
motorhomes, trailers etc are not allowed here
Motorhome 6.80 meter.
absolutely not possible to turn your motorhome!!!
The road is getting narrower and narrower.
The whole village there are no parking possibilities except paid places. They were all close during week. and I think the entrance doesn't allow a big motorhome to drive inside.
so at the end we left the village without
visited it.
If you are on the way with your own motorhome take the public bus and walk the last km.
Report Check-InWe were here during the high season and we arrived during the afternoon. The free parking place along the beach was full and we find some wild place. Be careful because the police drive around and give us ‘multas’ because we weren’t on a good place.
However, the spot is so wonderful and the beach too.
Don’t find showers and toilets.
As described. I couldn't find showers on the beach but no big deal. Great place. I spent 2 nights here. No bother at all. I'm about 6.2m long and that's about as big as the place can accommodate. Wait until evening or very early morning and you'll be able to manoeuvre in at the very start of the parking slip on the left. Just by the steps to the beach. Grab your space, then don't move! You won't need to. Lovely beach. I just had one day close by, but seems super chilled. Great sunrise.
Report Check-InI came for a night and stayed for a week. Amazing place and walk all the way north up to Playa Ferrugem (3h one way). So many hidden streets and paths to be discovered in this little town, surf, swim in the lagoon and enjoy life!
Report Check-InReally pretty place to stay with an amazing view on top of the sea. no shadow. during the night it gets really loud though because people play music in their cars.
Report Check-InAmazing place.. Came for 1 night and spent 2 full days here... Safe, easy to find and best view ever..
Report Check-InGreat spot!! Gorgeous beach, everyone cleared out at dusk and we had the place to ourselves, perched on the hill with great views of the bay
Report Check-Inall right, this is one of the most beautiful bay of the world ! and... there are whales !! ... great place and moment of our travel...
Report Check-InCorrect coordinates! You park on the lefthand side of the street, which is the parking area.
Big rigs will have a hard time to turn here, so wouldn't recommend coming here. Safe, there is a surveillance camera (in front of the last bar-restaurant). Stayed 2 nights, astonishing view and quiet at night. Toilets 24/7 open, outside the restaurant. Not sure if the water is potable. Outside shower for 2 Real.
