Sudan
It has lost its grandeur and it's a bit grubby in places but is ok for Sudan. Twin room S£400. A bit pricey unless you're using black market exchange rate. Restaurant. Safe parking for motorbikes.

Lowest price now is 14000. Couldn't get the guy to come down lower. (1 USD = 591 SDG). A bit run down but had AC. Ask for cheapest room and no breakfast.
Report Check-InVery nice big hotel, 300m far from the main road. Old style, but the rooms are ok.
Quiet place. I asked the cheapest room : double room, western toilets, clean bathroom. Restaurant if you want (but little bit expensive).
Paid 12.000 sdg (~20$ | 1$=580sdg)
Big old place, dbl room on 3rd floor is 500sp
Water pressure was good compared to many other places and room was clean.
They lock bicycle in room behind reception.
They do have more expensive rooms at 1500sp but I asked for the cheapest room.
Be warned. They try to rip you off. Regular rate for the big rooms is 900 pound. However for non locals they insist now on the price of USD 70 for one night. Never had this problem in any country before.
Report Check-Invery nice people....we slept in our car and we give them 3USD...
Report Check-InMuch as above.
Rooms now 900 or 750 depending on whether you want a fridge and flat screen TV or not. Sheets were also cleaner in the 900 room.
Breakfast can be had for 300 (USD 5.50)
A lot quieter and much better option than Continental I think.
It does have WiFi.
Report Check-InWe got an ensuite twin room with working aircon, fan, fridge and TV for 700 Sudanese pounds. The room was a bit grubby, e.g. hair in the shower drain, but the bed sheets were clean although ancient. We had fish and rice for dinner at 200 Sudanese pounds. Our motorbike was safely parked in the shade. They have 24 hour security and the hotel is inside gated premises. It's perfectly fine for one or two nights crash and much better than sleeping in Al Qadarif!
Report Check-InWe believe this is a special one! The hotel takes you back in time for sure :D with it's sixties looking architecture and interior it looks like time didn't affect this. BUT! I think it charms this place. The manager gave us a rate for a twin room of 500SDG, The room was big, comfortable and clean. The beds were very good as well. We got good space for our motorbikes at the entrance, where the guards sit the whole night. It's a quit area with a few restaurants around. We wanted to eat lunch there as well but most of the menu wasn't available unfortunately. They offer laundry as well at 10SDG per item.
Report Check-InOkay-ish hotel for one night. We got a room for S£200, but opted to sleep in the car as the bed sheets did not look too clean. Hot water for shower, sit down toilet, both okay-ish clean.
Check the shower before choosing a room as the first one did not work properly.
