Latest Check-Ins

Prices changed. 7 USD per person per night (February 2024).
We had electricity on side.
While we where there the traffic at the little road in front was quite busy from early in the morning till late at night. Also the dog belonging to the place was barking a lot during the night...

Report Check-In

As mentioned previously awesome place to stay. Great hosts, very secure, free coffee in the am, wifi, pool, highly recommend. Ended up staying 6 nights. If you're visiting Masaya Volcano do yourself a favour and pay to sleep hear vs at the volcano entrance. Extended our TIP while staying here.

Report Check-In

We stayed 30 nights due to a mechanical problem with our vehicle.

The place is perfect to stay in Managua.

Our vehicle is 3m20 high and 2m50 wide. By pushing a branch by hand, the vehicle passes without problems. The employees are very welcoming and kind. They give lots of advice. There are good restaurants nearby and a swimming club ($2/hour) "los dolfines".

The meals are excellent. Possibility of going to maxi Pali by tuk tuk (20C/person)

The hotel parking lot is secure 24/7.

There is an adorable dog and a cat.

We felt like home.

Hot shower

Wifi accessible only at the swimming pool and in the hotel.

The only negative point: the noise from the road... There is a lot of traffic, this road is very very noisy from 5am and until 10pm.

Coffee and drinking water available.

Price per night: $10 (negotiated price due to the fact that we stayed for 1 month)

Breakfast: $5

Lunch: $6 (served until 4pm)

Laundry: $7 per bag of dirty laundry

Tona beer and soda: $1

we rented a 125 motorcycle for $10 per day (ask at reception for contact information) the motorcycle was delivered on site.

***

You park in the small garden area, so just for small rigs. They allow you to use the toilet at the pool and the shower inside the staff room (Open at 7.30am).

Report Check-In

great place in Managua for a good price. quiet at night, nice pool. Very big rigs might have a hard time entering.

Report Check-In

As described by the others, no hight restrictions, big and shady place to park, we managed to get in with our 6,5m long Unimog.Electricity at watchman's cabin, hot showers in one of the rooms, nice pool and very friendly staff. Very recommendable.

Report Check-In

Como lo describen los demás viajeros el lugar es muy bueno,no hay electricidad para conectar una extensión pero las instalaciones están muy bien
$5.00 usd por noche y también tienen servicio de lavandería lo que es muy bueno.

Report Check-In

realy nice and friendly place. felt super safe all the time. def the place to Go when you have to stay in managua

Report Check-In

awesome place near Managua. seriously, don't bother staying anywhere else if you need to visit the city. $5/pp, since it's not busy we had free access to a hot shower in a room. pool is solid and lots of common space. the garden is a bit small to drive into with my 21' rig but we managed. gets loud in the morning with traffic. staff is super friendly. the honor system bar is very reasonable price and free coffee is a perk!

Report Check-In

Camped here for a night while we went to the dentist in Managua (proactive dental solutions if anyone is interested!). Nice place to camp with outdoor bathrooms. They have a nice common area with free coffee in the morning. The shower situation as said before is a little weird. The guy said we could only take one shower in the morning and had to ask permission to use it in case they had guests in the dorm. He said if they had people in the dorm they would find us a different shower. But... overall nice area grass area.

Report Check-In

Very good place to camp in a van in a capital.
Owner is Nicaraguan-Belgian and knows hiw to make a very nice common area. Write down consumption system of beer and soft drinks, free coffee and free purified watee. Water tap in the garden where you will most likely park the van.

5US$ pp

Little food mall with beer bar within walking distance and a good pizza place (closed pn Mondays, ask the owner which one)

Outdoor toilet is filthy but usable. Outdoor Shower is out of service. So you will most likely be offered the bathroom of one of their rooms with hot water most of the time.

The recepionist was not that welcoming to us and told us we shower too much and should only happen in the mornings. Rinsing off before jumping into the pool is likely not desired here and rinsing chlorine off after the pool not wanted.

Report Check-In

No longer accepting tent camping. Dorm/rooms only or have RV.

Report Check-In

We never meant to stay in Managua but needed to visit the US embassy to obtain a visa so we stayed here for 3 nights. Belinda is the loveliest woman, and speaks English, Spanish, and french. She does everything she can to make one feel welcome and helps with anything she can. The guesthouse is beautiful, with lots of shared spaces to relax inside and outside, and the pool was wonderful on a hot day with a couple of hammocks available too. wifi was fast, and she let us use the kitchen to cook meals when the family was not using it. Double rooms with private bathroom and fan is usd27, with aircon is usd30, dorms are usd10 pp, camping in the gardens is usd5 pp. she opened an unused room for us to shower when we were camping there where the water can be hot, and there was a toilet beside the pool that was always available. no electricity sites in the garden where we camp but lots of sites inside to charge our phones and fans. Tea, coffee, and water always available. Security on site and gates locked at night. Their dog Gordo was also super cute and friendly too! Overall we had a lovely time despite never wanting or planning to stay in Managua!

Report Check-In

We came back here and stayed a week while we were getting a new bathtub made in Ticuantepe. This time we were offered a room to shower in, so that was much better than showering outside. Outside bathrooms are still a bit dirty. We took the dog (Gordo) on three walks and they are ok with it! He's a really easy dog to walk and obviously he loves it. Plus the neighborhood here is nice; all embassies and nice houses. They did laundry for $4/load. Chilled place, and staff and nighttime guard are nice. Safe while all the protests were going on.

Report Check-In

Nice staff. Received package for us. One outside bathroom, sometimes clean. Outside shower was all that was offered to us. A little maneuvering to get into garden but otherwise ok spot. The worst part was the dog tied very closely to the tree all day and night. He is super friendly too. We're going back in a few days; I think we'll ask if we can take him for a walk. I know it's not my business but maybe if a few of us politely mention some concern for the dog's well-being, it might start to sink in?

Report Check-In

Just one additional point. Here be fleas! The dirt, the grass, the cute dogs all have fleas that will travel on (and bite) humans and pets.

Report Check-In

This is a mixed review! The house staff is great. The garden staff spends their time hiding and on their phones. The WiFi is solid in some areas. But doesn’t reach parking area. The street traffic is loud and starts with horns early, but ends early. The garden where we are parked offers a lot of shade but is really dusty when the wind blows (often) There is one toilet available- used by all garden staff, too. Open air pool shower. Possible to use a room shower if you ask before the room is cleaned. There are two dogs here which are sadly tied up all day and most nights. But they are very friendly. Laundry for 4$ per load. Airport taxi 15$. Easy trip to city for business. Walk to restaurants and small stores. At just $5 per person per night, it’s a bargain for city access. We fit in at 23.5 feet but it was VERY tight. No height issues at second gate, just a narrow, tight turn. Water refill from hose. No electric found but didn’t ask.

Report Check-In

Perfect place! Very friendly staff (btw, the owner is nica-belgian and speaks Spanish, English, French and flamish). Perfect location if you wanna visit masaya, Managua or even Granada and have a pool for the rest of the day. There’s an outside shower, but they open a room in the morning if one is free. Perfect shaded parking lot, fast wifi, and free coffee/tea/water all day. We loved our stay !

Report Check-In

Highly recommend. Nice stuff and nice grassy property.

Report Check-In

We stayed here after an exhausting day in Managua. Incredible place, we parked in the beautiful garden and could use the pool toilet, very safe with guards at the gates and a guard dog. Our friend stayed in the guesthouse and we could all use the hot!! shower in there. Free coffee and tea. Super super nice owners, all round great atmosphere and beautiful property. One of the nicest guesthouses we've been too. $5pp to park. Room is $22 for twin. Highly recommend after a run around day

Report Check-In

Host Belinda is a gem! She also speaks English and happily arranges everything you need: shower in a room (if available), taxi driver with reasonable fee. Very comfortable and green place. Quiet for a capital. 10 USD for camper plus 2 persons.

Report Check-In

Wow, what a nice place!! Pool, shower, toilet, WiFi everywhere. $5 is well worth it for this little oasis in the crazy city.

Report Check-In

Ask 5 USD per person to park the van in the beautiful green park and sleep inside. Electricity possible if needed. Nice pool, fridge with beers to sell, breakfast at 3 USD. The owner is nice and speeks french.
