good area to Park even for bigger rigs, a few lower hanging tŕees, large nice beach, nice sunset, good for swimming, but lots of tourists (amis), relativ quite at night, unfortunately left and right of us cars at 9pm drugs smoking and London music a few hours (wednesday)

Report Check-In

Right next to the beach. Lots of shade trees, but was warm at night. Lots of cars in evening, but then just a few camping at night. Walking distance along the road or beach to restaurants and nightlife.

great place to stay. safe with police coming in. very close to the center. hot at night

Report Check-In

This place is not closed, they do not allowed tent camping on this location, but the police did not have any issues with RVs staying at this point. For tent and rooftop tents camping, you need to go to Camping Paradise Point, is expensive but not bad.
We stayed here 2 nights no issues. Police drove by couple of times. Cell signal is very good.

Report Check-In

We slept here two nights with others overlanders.
Don't recommend let your car alone, it's too dark!

Really safe spot on the beach de stayed next to a guy living there , the police check the area at night.
There are toilets and a shower available for 1000 colones for a day .
You can leave the car there all day long.
It gets quiet busy in the afternoon at the week-end. One of the best spots of our trip si far

Beautiful spot facing the moored yachts. I had to wait until the day people left to get a good spot. Music from the bar down the beach but not obnoxious. Easy walking distance to downtown. Camping place next door has a banos sign. I don't know what they charge if anything. One other vehicle camping. great sunsets. Don't park in the spots straight in from the entrance. The locals visit all night long, at least until 4 AM.

Great spot! Camped here a couple nights with our dogs. Can hear some music and people walking the beach at all hours but we slept great, woke up content, stepped out to toes in the sand. Better than any hotel at any price.

Stayed here several nights. Lovely and cool in the shade with sea breeze but no solar. Other overlanders staying too. Police presence, feels safe. Didn’t feel like we would get broken into but someone did steal the shoes we left outside in the night. Would still definitely recommend it, just don’t leave anything unsecured.

Good spot. As there are no other Overlanders now, I only spent one night, and moved to the other option in town. Over there seems safer at the moment.
There’s a shop right in front of this place with a big sign “Camping on the beach Info here”.
I did not go ask, and they didn’t come to me either. I guess by asking, you may be asked to pay, even though is public.
Beware of crocodile in the river.

Parked here to have lunch during the day - beautiful spot right on the beach.
Did not stay for the night as we were warned it was not safe to do so.

Estuvimos mas de 1 mes parando en este lugar. Muy buen lugar para parar frente al mar. Sombra y muy tranquilo por la noche. Nos pareció seguro y bueno para trabajar en temporada alta.

Report Check-In

Not always safe. We had our side window and windscreen broken during the night and things stolen while we slept in a tent next to the car. Police said this happens often here, but perhaps we were unlucky, one couple had been here a week with no problems. Best to be aware.
