Report Check-In

I used the main parking area, two nights, 1st I slept in Los Cabos and 2nd in my confortable motorhome. The guard was very nice and friendly. At night very dark and very quiet (better than Cabo) only nature sounds :-D
Only pay 15000 fee per car entrance, I said it was a microbús and I was planning to sleep in Los Cabos (noisy crowded) but when I change my mind I was inside the park and no one ask again... I regret no to spend more days there, Is a very beautiful park just you have to walk a little more to reach the beach. VERY R ECOMENDED!!!

Well here are the most beautiful beaches in Colombia...
BUT:
- prices are incredibly high : entrance fee 53k pp low season / 63k high season + vehicule entrance 14k + car parking 10k. Makes over 130k for the two of us! And that is only for one day, if you want to see the cristal beach you have to go on the same day otherwise you need to pay same price again.
- there are many other (free) beaches as nice as those all around the world! As I used to live in french Caribbeans it was noth worth it for me...

We slept two nights here, only pay the parking fee. Very nice place, feel safe and with bathrooms and showers near.
The trail to pueblito is closed so we went to playa nudista first day, return to the parking and next day the 9 rocks trail.

Baños y dichas a 200 metros.

Parked and slept at the Parking Lot. Ok for Big Rigs. Take care from hanging Tree's.
Very expensive: payed entrance for 2 Person and Truck 120'500 incl. Overnight.

Report Check-In

Awful and expensive entry fee and parking area inside the NP.
But the hikes and the beaches are nice so it's worth to come here for primary forest and Caribbean beaches and the nature.

Report Check-In

We tried to enter, but they werent amused about the surfboard that was strapped on top of the van and wouldnt let us in with the board. After some negotiations, they agreed to let us pass but by that time all register had been closed (5pm), so we stayed at the camping outside of the park. Overnight parking in the park has been advertised as 9500 now.

We came here just a few days before the park closed for a month (closed until 28.2.2017) - it was quite full and we were lucky we got in without reservation.
Good secure parking lot, guarded also during the night, no problem with staying overnight - we stayed for three days and our rooftop tent was opened the whole time without a problem.
Entrance fee to Tayrona is a bit expensive(42k cop per person, + few thousand for entering with a car and about 9k per day of parking), so it's worth to stay a few days - you then pay just a few thousand for parking :)
Not possible to camp at the campground with a car, but it's just about 3min walk to toilet & shower there.

Report Check-In

Stayed two nights but had to pay for three days parking (9,000COP per day). Make sure you arrive before 5pm as the computers are turned off then and they won't let you in.

We were impressed by how well maintained + run this national park is + enjoyed the walks/hikes to Cabo San Juan + Pueblito. We camped the first night in the parking area, a walk from the facilities that are near the stables. Unfortunately they didn't have running water when we were there. The second night we went to Castilletes. From the parking area it is a 1hr hike to the first beach, 2hrs to La Piscina/Cabo San Juan beaches + 3.5hrs to Pueblito. Wear good footwear when going to Pueblito, it's a steep incline over many rocks but a beautiful hike. Best to go early in the day. From Cabo I managed to get a horse near the end of the day (3:30ish) for half price which they had me take back to the stables alone since I could ride a horse. For two nights (three days) for two people it cost about 102,000CP. DOG: We hid our dog until we were in the park and took him to the beaches once on a short lead. A few security guards at the parking area told us he was not allowed but we just said we received permission if he was kept on a leash. Enjoy Tayrona!

Beautiful place but a bit pricey. I recommend staying there a few nights to make it worth it. It's 42,000COP per person entry fee. You can stay there for as many days as you'd like and you only pay this once. Our vehicle was 31,000 plus 15,000 per night because it was a van and not a car. We stayed in the overflow parking lot and it was nice and shady and there were only two other cars there that belonged to staff. It was pretty quiet and the bathrooms were clean. There are showers but they weren't working when we were there. It is much cheaper to park then to camp, as you would still have to pay per person in addition to paying for parking the vehicle.

If you just go for the day, it may be better to park across the street from the entrance at the big restaurant. If you eat there (which is way cheaper than eating at the park) you can park there all day for free. Then you take the bus to the parking lot (3000COP per person) which is where you start your hike.

We parked in the car park for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. We actually left our roof tent up for the whole 3 days. The car park starts to fill up a bit at 9.30am and there are lots of buses which drop off people for the day. By 5pm however, they have all gone and you almost have the place to yourself. There is a security person on duty throughout the night, they are really friendly. There is a toilet and cold shower about 5 mins walk away and a tap for water next to the car park. We paid the admission for the park and no extra for camping.

Stayed at the regular parking with another travelers, at the entrance already confirmed that it was possible.
Friendly security during the day. We used the showers at the camping and there is a tap for wather at museum's door.
Recommended a full day: take a bus to the entrance and another to Calabazo (total 5k each) and walk up to Pueblito, take the stairs down to Cabo de San Juan ,snorkel there and walk back to the parking.
We paid 114.500 COP for the entry (2pax) car and parking 2 days. At the exit nobody asked if we was 3 days...

Report Check-In

no problem to stay for the night on the parking lot. 24h guard
quiet and safe

Report Check-In

Loaded up on groceries and water, got to park and was told it isn't possible to camp in the parking lot due to security reasons. You can only stay in the Ecohuts, tents or hammocks. A bit pricey 42,000 Col entrance for foreigners (per visit, not day), vehicle entrance fee 12,000 (per visit), 9,000 daily parking fee plus whatever camping costs. Really enjoyed the hike to Pueblito.
