Spent 4 nights here camping in big sandy parking lot. a big rig was here every night as well....Porta potties...right next to beachside reataurant...great sunrise...
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We stayed here two nights. The only good reason to stay in this urban scene is Zippers Grill and bar. This lot is extremely busy all day. It is VERY CLOSE TO THE HIGHWAY. No other Overlanders. Port a pots are awful. Will never stay here again!
Report Check-InOvernight spot to park. If you park in the beach lot, be prepared for noise throughout the night. This is a popular local hangout and they play music and party loud. If it’s a weekend, they will be there until early morning hours. It’s a beautiful beach close to good restaurants! Not good for big rigs! If you pull through under the bridge and head back to the side of the dirt road it is much quieter and any size rig can fit! Semis and buses park here during the day. There is tons of room for several set ups back there. Not the type of place to unpack and setup but good to sleep and walk to beach during the day! Perfect cell signal! At&t
Report Check-InNice beach, however, this is a location is where locals hangout and it can get loud at times from them partying.
Report Check-InSpent 2 nights there. It was definitely not the most quiet (locals hanging out in the evening with music), but the closest we could found from San José del Cabo. Beach was nice, good phone service with ATT & Telcel, we recommend anyway !
Report Check-InThe MOST beautiful waves🧜♀️
Our skoolie fit going under the bridge no problema (We are aprox. 11.5 feet tall)
Beautiful beach close to downtown San Jose. However, the noise from multiple cars with rave type volume levels kept us up for hours! The police came about 1:30am and made them leave. We didn’t call them but it sure was quiet after the police took over. We stayed on a Monday night.
Report Check-InIf you don’t care about sleep quality this is a great free camping spot. We thought it might not be so loud because it was Tuesday but there were several full moon raves that took place on the beach lasting until about 3 am. The loud music began at sunset.
There is a surf wave right out front that’s pretty fun. The beach is gorgeous white sand and the sunrise was beautiful. Garbage cans and port-a-potties available. Easy access from the highway on both directions, located in the arroyo between two resorts.
We had also checked out the playa palmilla but my MIL needed to sleep in a tent and it seemed like a place where you needed to be a bit more stealth. It might be a bit quieter over there but there is a restaurant and it’s easy access to the beach so it could also be loud
Report Check-Instayed here a couple of nights. public beach that lot of local use. Got a little loud last night, but everyone left at midnight. All thru the night local dry by. Great beach and great views. Try to park under the bridge, not next to the beach if you want a quiet night.
Porta potty get cleaned up everyday
Stayed 2 nights: Thursday LOUD music stopped at 8PM, but Friday stopped at 3AM...... too close to highway, a lot of cars come and go. Next 4 nights we went to Playa Palmilla , a lot quieter , totally different experience! If your van is under 25-ft, don't hesitate and drive 5 min. west for a way better sleep !
Report Check-In3.5m max height if coming from the east, added entry photos.
Didn't stay the night. Busy lot on a weds Eve, but it would do in a pinch, lots of space.
Decent small surf here when wind is right!
Big sandy parking lot, we stayed because needed shopping at Walmart, very busy, music every night, but beautiful water and sand. Police come by and watches our trailer while we left it to go eat at a restaurant very grateful for that. It’s ok for couple nights
Report Check-InIf you are very tall and coming from the east, you won't fit under the overpass and may have to drive further west to turn around to get to the spot.
Report Check-InMusic playing all night long on a Wednesday night. It’s a good place to hang out during the day but as I said, pretty loud at night.
Report Check-Innice place, a bit noisy with the main road. take the exit playa costal azul and turn under the bridge.
some cars come on the night and leave, also the police for check.
Parking de arena enfrente de la playa, en la zona de rocas con erizos de mar. Por la noche parece tranquilo pero nos vinieron algunos coches con musics fuerte a las 4 am. Por el rest todo bien.
Report Check-InGood small waves. Stay to the left of the parking to avoid the rocks on the shore. Good learning spot for surfing and boogie board
Report Check-InStayed here on a Saturday and it was a huge mistake! We pulled in around 4pm and it was mellow then right when it got dark dozens of cars blasting loud music pulled in. We probably got 30 mins of sleep that night. When we decided to leave at sunrise there were still a good amount of cars still partying on the beach. Might be better on a week day but we will never stay the night there again!
Report Check-InWe camped right behind the bar, this is way safer and private than the pin. The bar is call zippers as the surf spot. Ask for a lady named Paola she lives with her family in the house on the right. They own the land, we paid 100 pesos and got electricity and non potable water.
Report Check-Ini wouldn't recommend this for tents. or bikers. very exposed. lots of people drinking and passing by
Report Check-Innous avons stationné à cet endroit pour une nuit. Belle plage. musique forte au bar.
Report Check-Indrove in and left. lots of trash and very close to road. if you surf or just want a city night near the beach it may be ok.
