Nice place close to the salar with beautiful colors. You can park behind ruins, so you are protected from the wind, and not visible from the street.police came by and said place is ok to stay and safe

What a beautiful spot to spend the night! In the lake were hundreds of flamingos and we saw a vicuña family with a baby. No facilities but anyway a perfect wildcamp for the night. Only one car with tourists came by in the morning but after they took some photos they left. Super quiet and the ruins are a great shelter from the wind. Please think of the bikers and leave the ruins clean for putting up tents :)
Report Check-Inbeautiful place to camp with 2 flamingos and a family of vicunas, beautiful colours with sunset and sunrise. one of our favourite wildcamps! Windy in evening but can park beside ruins for protection, very still in morning with beautiful reflections on the lake! definitely worth a stop!
Report Check-InWe stayed here 2 days to acclimate to the height before crossing to Bolivia via Ollagüe. Ver nice place indeed. Beautiful view of the laguna (especially in the morning) and somewhat protected from the wind.
!!!CAUTION when entering: glass and iron pieces everywhere!!!
Report Check-InWe stayed here for one night and loved it. The salar with the Flamengos and vicuñas is a real beauty. We parked our car with rooftopttent inside the ruins to have some windprotection. The wind got really strong between 10 pm - 01.00 am, so it was not a quiet night of sleep, but definitely worth it due to the view. Please take your garbage and a little of others with you :)
Report Check-InWonderful location, parked right next to the salar and the flamingos. Very windy in late afternoon and evening but worth it for the views and experience.
Report Check-InWe paid this spot a visit and shot photos of the flamingos. Unfortunately we didn’t get the camp here but it is as described below, the abandoned structure would be a perfect place to set up and be shielded from the wind. It was very windy when we were there. Definitely recommend spending a night here if you can!
Report Check-InAwsome spot ! Couldnt agree more with all the comments, nothing to add.
Beautiful sunset; wildife, view on the mountains, quiet ... loved it
This place should be a DESTINATION not just a wild camp along the way. Definitely a must when crossing the border.
You camp in the walls of an old ruin which provides great protection from the wind. Vicunas and Flamingos are everywhere and it’s just an all around beautiful spot! Great find!
Report Check-InBeautiful vast place. Saw vicuñas in the evening and flock of flamingoes next morning. Great views, cold, wind slowed after dark.
Report Check-InJust perfect. Pink flamingos all day long, Vicuñas during the morning, amazing landscapes, and what a sunset! But please: take your trash with you...
Report Check-Infantastic place, recommended, clean and plenty of space. met another iOverlander with motorbike from japan who spent the night here. Entel coverage.
Report Check-InHighly recommend. This was our first night in Chile and what a glorious morning we woke up to with the sun reflecting the mountains in the lake and the bright pink flamingoes in the background. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful camping spot. Suitable for large rigs. No services, very cold (woke up with frost on windows) but protected in the ruins. Very quiet and felt safe. Enjoy!
Report Check-InIncredible flamingo show... beautiful site. Vicuñas visited in the morning too.
Report Check-Ingreat place for a overnight stop before the border.great view, silence and no wind behind the ruins.
