Something not right?

Description

Beautiful campground near the hot springs. The hot springs have a heavy sulfur smell. Lots of beautiful hiking trails. Campground requires a fee, although there isn’t anyone who check during the off season. Some bees in the morning. Signs say hear country and rattle snake sun bathing area. We didn’t see either . UINTA National Forest Campground. Plenty of paid sites. Normal cost seems to be $12 but during off season nobody checks fees being paid.

***prices are now $24

Pretty much as described. When we arrived on Wednesday, it was only us and the CG host. Slowly filling up a bit towards Saturday but the 66 available were still only about 20 percent full. But note that the base price is now $29. Good base for the hot springs walk but it is still 4 miles to the very busy parking lot.

Report Check-In

$29 for rv. Lots of spaces and decently spread out. In the trees. Only put toilets. Spanish Fork Park on the other side of the freeway is more open, $20 a night and nice heated clean flush bathrooms.

Quite a nice campsite. It starts at $24 a night (self paid envelopes). There was a camp manager staying on site who went round multiple times in his golf cart who did seem to be checking. Site is nice - little tables and fire pits. Not too noisy. Only pit toilets I think - quite a few around, but didn't go in the one near me as the outside was covered in thousands of flies (so dreaded to see/smell the inside). There are probably a couple places down the road you might be able to stay at for free, but picked this one as I had a good 4G signal as I needed Internet (at some sites - drove around and picked a spot with good signal). Very cold overnight, but decent spot and lots of space and reasonable privacy.

All paved, easy to get through for anyone. Pit toilets and firewood for sale at camp host site. Self service pay (HALF OFF IF YOU HAVE A NP PASS!!) $24 for a single, $48 for double, $10 per extra car. Awesome views. Not sure if anyone checks to see if you paid but left our trailer alone for a few hours and had no issues. 30 min outside of Provo; there’s a planet fitness there, and places to do laundry. I’d recommend!

Campground is nice but prices are $24 for a site and increased for double sites and extra cars. I ended up camping at a pull off along the road instead.

good campground. spots are A little close together, but there are quite a few spots. You can pull in and pay day of it seems like, but it does also have reservation on recreation.gov if during peak season. The stream that runs along is really nice and goes right past a bunch of the sites with small beach areas to get in the water.

Report Check-In

The campground is officially closed (there are signs saying that), however the gate to loop B was open. No one came to check on us and there was just one more car staying overnight. Toilets were open. Obviously whoever stays here while the campground is closed is very respectful of the campsite, because the toilets and the grounds were clean.

Report Check-In

Paved road in, no snow on the road. the gate was open (yay), one of the few areas actually open at this time of year. one loop of the campground was open. no one seemed to be around collecting fees. quiet, beautiful night.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campground. There were only 4x4 vehicle tire ruts on the road and no plowing in March with a couple feet of snow. We helped a car get unstuck. Stayed overnight at beginning of entrance.
