The guy from the tea house is a very nice guy. He loves his tea house and Nemrut Gölü and all he wants is, that you have a safe, peaceful and wonderful stay at Nemrut Gölü. He showed us a very nice place to put our tent (no lake view, but quiet and tucked away from all the locals having bbq and picnic). Camping is for free but be sure to leave him a tip.

Nice place, don't need to pay. you can have chay there if you want to, nice guy but little crazy. speak some English. Watch out the bears! the guy live there and he know them but we still had a crazy moment with the big one coming to grab our dinner! Just be careful at night. the little ones are adorable!

It's free to camp here!! Don't pay, the guy just runs a tea shop nothing it is not his area.. When coming in the weekends it can be crowded and noisy, during the week is better especially in summer time. We had a bear walking next to our tent they told us in the morning, we didn't see or hear anything ;) there are nice views around this lake.

Fevzi runs tea shop here, he speaks little English. good enough to have some small talk. Camping was free due to Ramadan but we left him a little donation. He showed us the way to the hot springs, small springs with really muddy surroundings. But worth the visit. Take the mud and scrub your body with it.
