Follow the small dirt road along the water channel and after aprox. 800m you end up in the desert. Turn on 4x4 and choose the dune you want for your night camp.

After a lot of driving around we gave up finding this spot. It no longer makes sense to enter the dunes from here. The small tracks between the houses are very
narrow even with a small Landrover and it is not clear which to chose.
If you really want to give it a try turn left on the main road (when coming from Gilgit) along the water channel... then maybe you reach the dunes.
Report Check-InAn absolutely stunning campsite! Amazing view and beautiful overlook of the mountains. Will highly recommend this spot.
Follow the road in between the house walls until it clears out and you see the small dunes and the view. Plenty of space for tents and trucks.
Report Check-InTried to get into the desert at this point. Almost impossible due to a lot houses that are build here since 2017 it is very narrow and they are still building more houses here.. added another point at the other side of the city which is easier and more quiet.
