Still 15 Sol /p.p., we came late in the afternoon, they (very friendly) opened the barrier, we paid the next morning. Absolutely quiet and safe night.

After the pandemic price is still 15 soles pp. They let us in at 17:30 and we only had to buy tickets for the next day.

nous avons dormi la nuit sur le parking. très calme. l'homme aux qui demande des piles a frappé au carreau du camping car a 20 h. il voulait nous vendre un livre, puis un crayon. le lendemain il voulait nous acheter nos lunettes de soleil. il nous a ouvert le musée, en disant que c'est gratuit. puis a demandé une propina. on ne lui a rien donné.

We arrived at 6 pm and they opened the gate for us. Free overnight parking. Quiet.

15s per person, very welcoming and friendly staff (we just pulled at the entrance and hadn’t paid yet, they were already saying we could sleep on the parking lot).
We also met the “battery man” and he was just so lovely and helpful, proposed to fill water bottles for free, we had a nice talk, and when he asked for batteries we just said we didn’t have and it was all.
The ruins are quite impressive, especially when there is a winter grey sky. It took us 1h30-2h walk to see and read everything. We then went to a coffee have a “pisco sour” and we could cook on the parking, no one bothering us (after 18:00 the parking was empty anyway)
Worth the stop !

Sillustani ruins parking lot. Quiet night, we were alone once all the tourist buses left. Nice archeological site to visit, S/15 per person but free to spend the night in the gated parking lot with access to bathroom. The same guy came by our camper and asked for batteries, we just said we didn’t have any!

Very nice site, impressive ! worth it. The guy with the gifts came but he is quite inoffensive, we just kindly but firmly told him we don't need anything, and after insisting a while, he left. Still free and permitted to sleep here.

we arrived at 2.30 pm and were allowed to stay overnight on the parking. we could choose to buy the entrance tickets (15sol p.p.) whatever day we wanted to walk around sillustani ruins. as expected the man (called himself juan) came when it was dark and pouring with rain. "...present, booklet, asked for batteries..". we kept friendly but a firm "no we dont need...". he tried to avoid me taking fotos of him. best shot of him i will add. we reported him next morning to the guards at the entrance. he is a local, who lives next to the restaurant and helps in the museum. otherwise quiet night.

We arrived at 7 and the gates were closed so we parked down at the edge of the pond. At 8:30, after we were already in bed, a man approached our car with a flashlight and told us we had to move into the parking lot. He opened the gate and we were left alone the rest of our time here :)

entry fee is now 15PEN pP, the ruins are worth visiting; nice views at the hill and good foto light for the chullpas in the afternoon from 15 to 17:30 o'clock; at 20:06 came the guy and offers his gift, we denied and said, we'll buy something next morning...

Yes we made the same experience like claudiaquinzio with his comment. Around 8 pm the security man knocked on our door and asked to come in our RV, but we said no. Then he asked for a present, and batteries for his radio. Okay, i gave him 3 AAA 's . Then he gave me a small ceramic animal und asked straight a way for an another gift. I gave him the figur back, said buenas noches and closed my window. After that the night was quiet, only some times we could listen the whistle between the guards. but it was o.k.

The4Dutch. No problem to stay here for the night. Next morning we Will visit the site and pay 10 S per person.

Free parking and overnight if you pay the entrance to the historic site. (10NS per adult). The road is fully paved (asphalto) with a few pot holes at the end.
The night was quite. No service. Toilets: 1 NS.

The same!! 10 soles at night per person. Quite, nice, BUT, There is man called Prudencio, that knocked our door when it was dark and we were about to go to bed at 8:00PM, and as soon as we opened the door, he tried to step in our camper. We said NOOO and he atarted to gave us presents or gifts and brochures of the archeologicall site. At the end he wanted money. He said: I am giving you a present so you HAVE to give me a present back! Ok we said, and we were about to give him money from our country as a gift and he insisted that NO WAY. he insisted to get in our camper for the next 5 minutes and when I turned mad he left. Not a noce place to stay, at least for us, get one outside the archeological site.

Got in at dark 530pm, gates still open; be aware as we and some other overlanders were approached by a man claiming to be a security guard, he wanted 100 sols to provide security; we did not pay him, the next day we found out that he was the bathroom attendant. We reported him to the guards at the gate.

Got in just after dark and found the gates to the ruins and the camping were closed. A young girl directed us to a grass spot near down the hill from the road.

Spend the night in the parking is no problem as they often go many with their campers and has no extra cost. The security people removed at 18hrs but it is a very quiet place. Bath all night $1 sol

Quiet campsite in the parking lot of the (very worthwhile) archeological site. As the parking lot is located in the archelogical site you have to pay the admission fee of 10 soles / person.
