Description

Q 75 per person per night, ex sauna entry.
Q 150 PP incl breakfast and saunas

Boutique eco lodge about 20 minutes drive from Fuentes Georgina. Much better and cheaper option than camping at the falls. This hotel is fantastic. Park your rig in the walled parking lot in back and have access to all facilities, including a nice covered patio overlooking mountains and villages, fast wifi, super clean bathrooms, and best of all, unlimited access to private steam saunas which are heated with steam from natural volcanic vents. There are 7 private saunas each could hold max 4 people. Cold shower in each sauna room so you can cool off then hop right back in. Absolutely amazing place and the staff are happy to have overlanders camping - you could probably pitch a tent in the lot in the back - just ask. Nice looking bar and restaurant on site too but we didn't eat there as we cooked on our stoves out back. We only found this place after getting deterred from camping at the springs which now costs 130Q per person, absolutely no negotiating with the gatekeeper. We skipped the hot springs altogether and don't regret it a bit. But if you want to see the springs, consider doing just the day and then sleeping at Las Cumbres.

Latest Check-Ins

Troed to stay but both parking spaces were extremly busy (sunday) so we left. As well when they are empty it seems quite difficult to find a flat spot. We are a 23 ft RV.

75q pp and you get 1 hour in the natural sauna w a cold shower. Food at the restaurant is good. The weekend is very busy. We dropped our truck camper to sight see and the next day the parking attendant had to hunt down people to move cars so we could load back up. Everyone is very friendly and at night it is a quiet place to sleep.

Report Check-In

Updated prices. 150Q/pp incl breakfast. 75Q/pp for sleeping only (NO access to the saunas). Sleeping would be on the fancy parking lot next to shiny new landcruisers.. We felt a bit out of place in our mucky clothes smelling like campfire.. We didn't stay.

Friendly staff who shows you around the spa area.
Pretty loud! Mainly because of the trucks passing. The main road is just behind the gate.

Q 75 per person per night, which includes:
- camping in parking lot (gate closes at 7 pm, opens at 7 am)
- WiFi
- bathrooms (open all night)
- sauna (closes at 10 pm, opens at 8 am)
- cold showers

125Q PER PERSON PER NIGHT.

We didn’t stay.

This is definitely one of the better options to stay in and around Xela. We stayed in a truck camper in the car park. There are no flat spots but we did manage to level it. They are building a new part to the hotel so it was a bit like staying in a building site. It’s expensive 100Q with breakfast or 75Q without. This includes a hour steam which is lovely. Our Can take a Tuk tuk to Zunil and then a bus to Xela

If you are a light sleeper this is not the place to camp. The highway that Las Cumbres sits on is really, really, really loud. Sounds like jet engines from 6am to midnight. Our bodies were shaking on the inside of the van from the noise. We tried the sauna at 8pm and it was impossible to relax because of the semi truck engine breaking right into the sauna window. Literally 2 meters away. It was so loud your whole body vibrates from the noise. It is incredibly hot, but not relaxing at all. Avoid sauna 2 at all costs!! The restaurant breakfast was nice. And the staff in the restaurant were all very nice. Front desk staff were a little preoccupied. Very expensive camping. About $7 per person to camp on unlevel parking lot without showers or electric. Much better deal is to use the sauna at 30Q per person and sleep somewhere else.
Also to note...construction of a new building in the lot is ongoing from 7am to 7pm. Looks about a year out to finish.

Great spot to stay. Secure parking lot below the hotel, although only a couple level spots. We paid $100Q/person for one night of camping, sauna access (they give you one room you get to yourselves), and breakfast. $75Q/person without breakfast but it was worth it in our opinion - coffee, juice, kinda oatmeal/sweet milk thing, plus a full plate breakfast option (6 to choose from). The restaurant was somewhat expensive for dinner so maybe consider cooking your own food to save money, but otherwise the food was good (recommend the beef stew). The sauna was relaxing - the room has the sauna and a cold shower. Towels available to rent for $5Q each. Some road noise from trucks coming up the hill but not too bad.

Overall would recommend this spot! They are familiar with iOverlander so it was easy to check in.

Slept here for a night cost 100qtz per person that price includes bkfst the next morning and a 1 hr steam session. If you don't want the bkfst it's 75qtz pp. In our opinion the breakfast was worth it... it included unlimited coffee, fresh watermelon juice, breakfast cookies a small bowl of oatmeal plus your meal (you could choose from 5 or 6 options). The steam was a great added bonus... Def recommend this place but if you have a bigger rig it could be tricky to find flat ground.

Guys. it is 75q per vehicle! at least what we paid in a Truck Camper (2 persons). Place is really nice. good WiFi. it will be excellent if hot shower were available. Nice internal garden with steam every where.

It is a nice place 75 qz per person to sleep in parking lot wifi and sauna and cold shower
100 per person to have also breakfast.
To bad there is not hot or warm shower and the parking lot is on a slope, hard to find a flat spot, also near a busy road. On the other side really nice space to seat in lounge area and possibility of eating.

we stay here for one night for 75qz.pp including sauna for one hour and Wi-Fi and sleep in your own car at the parking lot behind the hotel. quite at night. the price worth it. if you have last week cold temperatures and here you are in the mountains...it is perfect for a natural sauna with volcano steam. amazing. very friendly host and overlander are very welcome.

Price is now 75Q per person per night for camping in your own vehicle and using shower, sauna and WiFi.
They didn't want to lower the price, so we moved on..
