We got help from a local to find this nice place to spend the night. magdalena is a very nice woman who speaks som english.
She has a couple of big clean rooms with bathroom including shower for rent. The price for one person is 50 Q. With a small vehicle like landrover, landcruiser it is possible to enter the small garden in front of the house and camp there. We just managed to squeeze in with landrover and two rooftop tents. We paid 40 Q for the vehicle - we are 5 of us - per night including use of bathroom. Very nice family! You are right in the village. Met nice people.

This place is wonderful. They built a small Swiss style chalet in the courtyard, a double room with private bath and shower. This is totally luxurious for Guatemalan standards and costs still 50q pp a night.
Also she cooks in her small comedor. Familiar atmosphere. Kids playing around. Very quiet. The village is very small but surrounded by luscious nature.
This is a cool little place close to the center of town. The advantage of this place over the Hacienda San Antonio is that they have electricity and hot water which the Hacienda San Antonio does not. They don’t have Internet but there are CLARO and TIGO Towers in town. Magdalena can also help you with your Spanish. We took in formal classes from her for about 10 days for several hours a day. The parking spot is good for one vehicle but not ideal for two. She has a restaurant in a good place to hang out in the evenings. We recommend parking on the main street on Acul and figuring out how to get here first because it’s on a small back road but it’s easy to find and pull into.
