First it was hard to find, in the end it was next to the museum. Really quiet at night, just one other camper with us. Just a gravel parking spot, nothing else.

We stayed on the gravel lot by the plaza parking (as per the previous comment) but this is not the original place for this point. Both spots are good, the plaza place is better for big rigs but you might get stuck if too many cars park on the plaza parking. The original place is a bit smaller, big rigs would fit but would take up most of the space. As it is the start of a little trail to get to the beach and a lot of locals park here to go walk, I don't think it would be nice for them. To get to the original spot, just follow the coordinates of this point, for the plaza parking, just enter Serious coffee in google.

Perfect little nook - quiet at night. ShawOpen accessible. Enter through the parking lot of the plaza off the main road - there's an entrance to the gravel area at the back of the lot. Then, early morning coffee right in the plaza!

Got off the ferry late and stayed here. Very quiet at night but they are doing construction next to the lot so noisy in the morning. We noticed a cop sitting across the street - not sure if he was eyeing us or watching traffic either way we were out of there by 8:30 because of that. Good spot for a night.

Really nice views, right next to the sea. Semi-private but very accessible.

Great spot for a night after the ferry ride on to the island. Visitor center a short walk away has WiFi. Quiet. Nice walk to the rocky beach.

What a great little spot! Nobody around. Great easy walk to the beach where you can go for a swim. We found so many blueberries (fridge full). Please keep this spot clean so we can keep coming here.
2 bars of LTE with Rogers.

Small gravel parkinglot, great quiet place for a night! Take your stov and stuff in a backpack and walk down the trail to the beach (5mins) so you can take you dinner there! Beautiful!

This is a great little spot. It's a gravel pull-out off a side road. It's located just behind the Parksville museum. Quiet, semi-private, and no signs posted saying that you can't park overnight. I stayed for one night and it was great.
