We went there today and the girl said that there is a new owner. It's not anymore possible to stay there.

The owner very nice and helpful as described below. He explained us about the nicest wine bodegas where we could go and the recommended us good and cheap restaurants too.
He let us park for free in the parking lot of the hostel across the street and left a key of the main door outside during the night in case we needed to go to the bathroom.
The place is safe, quiet and the internet works mostly closer to the hostel.

Stayed here also for free (we left him a tip). Super friendly and nice person. Watch out in the parking place, our tires where full of spikes from the plants... Hopefully we won't end up with 4 flat tires soon ;-)

Grand terrain face à l’hostal Morada. Gratuit. Rolando le propriétaire est super sympa possibilité d’utiliser les WC. Bonne Wifi. Situé à 200m du centre ville.

When you want to meet very nice guy and dont need electricity und a bathroom than go there. We stayed 3 days and could fill our watertank all for free. And had every day, a nice and interresting disscusion with Rolando. He speaks quiet good english. We brougth Rolando a good bottle of wine from the nearby winery.

what a nice place. the owner is soo nice and kind...he offerd us the parkingplace for free. we were able to use the toilett and the wifi. we gave them a tip and bought bred for them in the morning....its a good place also with a lot of shade!!!

Rolando was on holiday for New Years and the woman working there couldn't get ahold of him to verify if we could camp so we let. It was a bummer as it seemed like a nice spot but we ended up in the central plaza and loved it there!

Wow! Rolando is so friendly and welcoming! As soon as we met him he told us to feel at home, offered the wifi password, agua potable and provided info about the grocery stores and good restaurants in town as well as telling us he is always available if we have any questions/need any help. We ended up staying 3 nights and felt safe overnight as well as leaving the car during the day while we explored

We stopped by to see if we could park, but the woman working said the owners were in Germany and couldn't give us permission. Looked nice though!

The comment above was for Hostal La Ramada--if you go to the one next door they will let you use the parking lot across the street!

Rolando, the owner of the Amorada Hostal (located 2 blocks away from the Central plaza) let us park our vehicle (7m long rig) for as long as we wished to in the parking lot facing the hotel...he is SO kind and don't know what to do to make you feel at home at his place : wifi of the hotel, cheaper laundry with someone he knows, coffee in the morning, water if needed and a lot of good advices on things to do and see in Cafayate and region....
The hotel also seems to be very nice and comfortable as per all the good comments written on the lounge wall !! price vary depending on season.
He won't be demanding anything to future overlanders but as far as we are concerned, we offered him a little gift...
