A good restaurant on the main road into Valle de Angeles: coming from Santa Lucia, on the left hand side, right before crossing the bridge that leads you into town. Julio has an amazing garden area where tents and RVs can fit. Bathrooms available, no shower but a big cold water container available if you want to take a shower with buckets. Julio is super friendly and he'll tell you everything about the little nice town. No night life here. There's a guard that stays starting from 8pm when the restaurant closes.

Made another location on iOverlander because the GPS coordinates aren’t right here.

Arrived at 5pm. Went to ask the guy working (not Julio) if we could stay one night if we bought some dinner. Called his boss (assuming Julio) and told me okay. After dinner I went to pay, and the same guy asked me if I was going to spend the night.

I said yes, confused because we already talked about it. Otherwise, I would have gone somewhere else and made dinner. He said the boss charges 200 Lmp for electricity and water. I responded and said we don’t need either and we were under the impression we could pay for dinner and stay the night. I already told him we had everything we need and sleep inside the van. He said okay, but it was a bit awkward. Felt like I wasn’t super welcome after that.

Dinner was 230 Lmp for the vegetarian plate. It was filling and not bad!

Arrived late, around 19:00 but the restaurant was still open, had a wonderful dinner & stayed overnight. Julio is an amazing host, welcoming overlanders. Very safe and quiet night. And we highly recommend having some delicious food at the restaurant. Not to forget the nice coffee in the morning! Gracias Julio!

Definitely recommend this place for camping in Valle de Angeles! Julio is very kind and offered to let us camp for free if we ate at the restaurant or we could pay a small fee if not. Food is excellent, staff very friendly, bathrooms open all night.

The coordinates are off for this, Julios is a little further down the road across from the gas station. We stayed here as the touristo park was closed when we arrived. Owner is really nice, left the bathrooms open for us all night. As described picnic tables and hammocks, he even greeted us this morning with coffee! He charged us 250 total for 2 people... 3 minute walk into town.
