The Visa extension process was quite annoying for us. First we applied online for an extension. But we didn't got any reply within one week. Then we went to the migration office in Armenia. There they filled in the same online form. We waited two days and again we didn't get any reply. So we had to visit the migration office again and then we got everything (we didn't need to explain anything, they already knew). But it was still a little bit weird, because in one passport we got a new stamp and for the other we got an letter which confirmed the extension (both passports are German). Finally, after one week we finished the process, one day before our visa expired.

We requested our extensions online, picking the Armenia office, and received a confirmation email almost immediately. Later that day we received another email stating we were preapproved and that we could pay online, which we did not do. The following day we visited this office location and completed our payment and received our extensions. It took close to an hour due to 8 people in line ahead of us. Later that evening we received confirmation emails with an attached copy of the extensions, meaning it might have been possible for us to complete it entirely online.
