Description

Good base location in Uyuni. There is a small secure parking lot that can fit cars with a maximum of 245 cm height. The rooms are old but clean. Minute Man Pizzeria is great (including gluten-free and vegan options) and US-style breakfast is good.

We chose this hotel mostly because of the secure garage. It can snugly fit 3 cars at max. about 245 cm height (plus some motorbikes). The owner Chris and his family are very nice and helpful. The US style breakfast and pizzas (served 5-9 PM, closed on Tuesdays) are good. Also vegan friendly! The room that we got (103) is basic, the mattress is very worn out, the solar shower is good and hot. A good base camp for your salt flat day tour! Operators like Salty Desert are in a walking distance.

We stayed two nights with the nice American family that runs the hotel and pizza business. Great homemade breakfast buffet and best pizza in Bolivia: Boston thin crust style. Comfortable bed and decent Wi-Fi. Solar water heater but we had hot water by 0700 each morning. Fairly priced for the value. Motorcycle and small car parking.

Adding to previous comment… Fantastic, reasonably priced pizza!! Owners are super friendly and helpful. Lodging price is not expensive considering level of quality of accommodations provided. All the comforts you could ask for if you want to treat yourself.
After this you can go back wild camping in the sticks for another few weeks.

All as described - perfect place to clean up. Good pizza cold beer. I paid 260 bol/night.

Great stay in Uyuni. Comfortable beds, hot showers, heaters in the room and the best pizzas south of Tijuana. Secure parking for motos and a couple of cars. You’re right outside an army base so the street may be safe to park a car too. Owner Chris makes a mean breakfast.

Great hotel to base out of Uyuni. Fantastic pizza and craft beer. Very hearty and healthy breakfast. Beds are comfy. Shower is great and normal - no suicidal😁. There’s a secure parking for motorcycles.
Its back to working after the pandemic.

We didn't stay in the hotel but are sitting in the pizza place right now. The crappy pizza throughout South America has become something of a joke to us, but this place is great. Really, would be fantastic pizza anywhere, so long as you like the thin crispy crust. Four thumbs up.

The best breakfast in Bolivia (Argentina and Chile too....). Fresh fruit on waffles and homemade everything. As others have mentioned, it’s a bit overpriced but the service is top notch and the pizza is brilliant - especially for those tired of the Argentine version (piles of cheese, no sauce). Super secure parking as well.

Although not officially dog friendly, they were also cool with our dog - small/medium sized.

Good hotel with hot showers breakfast included

We ate pizza here and it was really really good! Well-made, impressed. 110bs for a large, 60bs for a small. Bit pricey but Uyuni food is pricey. Only thing I was sad about was we couldn't try more pizzas haha.

Afraid I don't agree with previous comments. Now 450 Bol per night, comfy bed, nice hot shower but nothing more. Very dim light in room, bedside light did not work and large dusty footprint on my bed. Have not had breakfast yet but for this price should be perfect.

Report Check-In

We paid 450 BOL : too much expensive but great breakfast (with pancakes!...) and a secure parking for our Defender which suffered a lot after stuck in the Salar.
Check out at 10:30; we were allowed to leave at 11:30.

perfect crusty pizza with fresh and delicious ingredients, fast and friendly service, highly recommended

About Minuteman pizza : bonnes pizzas (surtout la 911), super déco (j'ai craqué et acheté le T-shirt...), service rapide, une charmante mamie aux petits soins et un Chris très serviable. On y a mangé... 5 soirs !

300 for matrimonial with breakfast buffet. The buffet breakfast was amazing. Clean room. Hot water. Nice owners. Pizza was also very good and the owner Chris a great guy. This was worth the splurge. Secure motorcycle parking.

Stayed in the new block with the solar showers (400 BOB). Comfortable, clean and some mostly good internet in the main area. Good parking for the van and we spent some time giving it tlc there. Pizzas at Minuteman were good. Heating in the room came on in the evening.

Report Check-In

We stayed here after camping on the Salar. Splurged for one of the newer rooms with very hot solar showers for 400 Bol including an excellent breakfast buffet with great coffee and bagels made at the pizzeria. Wifi was very fast. Minuteman Pizza, inside the hotel, is excellent. We enjoyed the llama pizza. Chris, the owner, is from Amherst, Massachusetts and is very nice. He barbecues the llama himself.

Hotel with capacity for 3 medium cars. Very very expensive. B300 for a room with private bath for two. Try to stay in this ugly town only for a night. Like in others places they only care about your money. If you are in La Paz its better if you buy some food before you get here. There is a new gas station in the way out to Potosi. In the street back of this hotel you will find gas tanks in the Ferreterias. Bring your gps coordinates and all the info you can before you come to Uyuni. Nobody will help you!

Report Check-In

Probably the best hotel in Uyuni. There is a small secure parking lot. The rooms are old but clean. The shower is a suicide shower with almost no power. The showers in the newer building are supposed to be better. We paid 300 BOL for the room incl breakfast. Minute man Pizzeria is great! Wifi worked but was very slow.
