Ok for the night to see the ruins. Very convenient. Gate does not open until 8am in the morning to leave. 5sol during the day and 10sol for the night. So if you show up during the day it's 15 for the day and night. Bathrooms available. It's the same parking area the buses use.

We were allowed to camp over night but would not recommend it.
The bathrooms are currently closed (toilets are available in town) and there is no guard at night so the gates in/out are locked at 5pm.
The gate is now a chain link fence that is closed and locked.

We spent one night here. We asked permission from the person in charge of parking, and she allowed us to spend the night, left the restrooms open, and we were able to leave whenever we wanted the next day. We opened the roof tent, and it was no problem. We paid 10 soles.

Pagamos 10soles.

Good place to stay overnight. Had to pay 10 PEN for the night, got official ticket. The man said we would have to pay again 10 PEN for the next day of parking. But when we left early afternoon, there was nobody around, so we left without paying again. Gate closed at 5 PM. We were alone on the parking lot, very safe and also quiet. Only some music from the village, stopped during the night. A dog was barking around 8 in the morning. Maybe it was different now because of the Covid pandemic that is not over yet.

We go to ruins and the weather was really bad and the very overpriced, we declined and back, after this we decided to continue to Machupichu, and start a conversation with the guy on garage to get our money back... in the end the price was 7 soles for everything and he was trying to push more payment... try to negotiate here, they are slippery

Big parking lot. Big rig note: if you drive from Cusco and want to avoid the narrow streets in the town, follow the truck route which goes around town on the left side just before the hughe wall. Then you have to drive a little bit back towards the town. It's possible to drive thru it (all the tourbusses do). But the other way might be easier.
