Report Check-InThere were signs stating no camping overnight in any county parks. We didn't try staying here...
Report Check-InBeautiful location. Parked in the lot right on the beach. Dogs are not permitted on the beach so we drove to north beach to watch the sunset and play with the dogs then we drove back down to fifth ave beach to sleep at. It was quiet and no one disturbed us. There is a sign that says no camping but overnight parking is allowed, so if you sleep in your car/camper your good to sleep here.
Report Check-InAmazing place to stay overnight. Right on the beach and lots of parking. The houses leave there porch light on so it’s not completely dark.
Report Check-InSuper clean camping site, stayed here for one night . In October it’s was very empty .. if you arrive and there are too many people keep driving to north beach access , where dogs are allowed off leash .
Report Check-InBest place I've stayed with iOverlander so far.. Awesome beach with clear lake water, toilets and power points. Pretty busy during sunset, one of the friendly locals said they come down here to watch the sunset "almost religiously". But it was very quiet and dark overnight.

Report Check-InIt’s a large parking lot on the beach across from a residential area. Beautiful views on a stormy night and morning. There were half a dozen cars that pulled through between 11 and 2AM, most of them quietly, although it also appears to be an occasional hangout spot for enthusiastic teens. I’d stay again. The sunrise was something else
Report Check-InChillin on beach, watching lightning over Lake Michigan while roasting corn over open fire. Clean bathroom, AC access no showers :(
Lot is dark but not creepy dark.
Fires on beach seem ok and also a fireplace by bathrooms.
Playground for kids.
Great location just wish they had showers
Beautiful, quiet parking right on sandy beach. Fire rings and clean Public Restrooms.
