Description

Checkins indicate tents not allowed

Small campsite in Nouadibhou, basically a spot inside their walled compound, friendly owner
5000UM (12€) for two people and a 4wd

Owner wont let you stay if you are the only customers. Super rude, our experience might not be yours but I would skip this one and go to Dauphine’s.

Latest Check-Ins

Small campsite in the middle of the town. The owner seems to be a good guy but is a bit rude. No electricity but the owner let me charge my Ecoflow battery for an hour before unplugging it.
No water in the toilet. It was full of Cockroaches. No hot water… in fact no water at all….
Payed 550 MUD for a Defender with roof tent. There are a lot of better options in the region.

Report Check-In

We paid 500 for 2 and a 4x4 camper.

Basic facilities. It’s expensive for what you get since there is no competition.

Report Check-In

Very rude owner. Has special requests such as keeping the toilets locked so you have to get the key every time you go to the toilet.

8000 for 1 night, 2 tents. Ridiculous price.

Also lied about the cost of other hotels/campsites. But it was late when we arrived and we didn’t have a SIM card yet. But the owner took advantage of that.

Stay away, there are better options.

Camping

I made an experience.

We stayed here after crossing the border. It is somewhat of an oasis from the business of the town, but very expensive for what you get. We paid 500mru for two people and a car. The wifi worked for a few hours and then was turned off. No electricity, but we didn't need it. Water is turned off unless you can find the owner and ask him to turn it back on. Can't flush toilets without the water, and there seems to be people from the street who know about the toilet and wander in here to use it (also unable to flush). Was able to take a cold shower in the morning. Lots of garbage around the camp. Seems like his is the only game left in town, so the attitude is take it or leave it.

Chez Ali has been welcoming overlanders for years. His place is center located and as mention bellow all facilities are basic but functional. Camping is 500 now that is a bit much but it is what it is. We were here also in 2009 and the place has not change a lot. Ali himself is a character so can be a bit in your face but he is a really good guy one you meet him well.

Report Check-In

They wanted 500 MRU for an extremely tiny room for one person and 800MRU for two people (no bathroom) and refused to negotiate at all - an absolute rip off because they know people don’t know about other budget places - if you’re looking for a budget place go instead to the Sahara auberge nearby

Really rude manager that did not even let us stay there because we were the only customers and did not want to pay for the guard, this place is in the middle of the city and ugly. Instead, go to Dauphine, we were planning one night and ended up staying 4, great location, less than half the price and have a restaurant.

Report Check-In

This place is not closed. Even it was reported closed in iOverland.

I was here end of December 2017. And it’s definitely open.

It’s very simple, cold shower, but fast internet.

The owner asked us for 8000MRO (19€) for a room for 2 people, or same price for 2 rooms (4000+4000). It was hard to bargain but we asked for 2 nights and we got price reduced to 6000 MRO per night, one room, 2 people. No car.

Probably the cheapest in town, even it’s really really simple.

Small campsite. Toilet and (cold) shower facilities, OK. There is a cooking and lounge area.

We paid 5000 UM (€13,-) for one night, two persons and a 4WD.

Friendly owner. The campsite is located in a nice town with good food and an excellent bakery.

Nice place to stay for one night.

As others say. I asked to pitch a tent. Said no. Wouldn't budge on 4000um for 1 person in a room.

Toilets clean enough. Shower ok, not hot but this was fine for me.

Fine for a night

Report Check-In

i asked to camp they said no (it was when others arrived and rooms were running out)

4000um for a room (single occ). no negotiation on that. I tried! they're aware they're the only camp in town!

room super basic. just a mattress. showers ok. western toilets.

area for cooking and a tent to lounge in. perfectly acceptable for a night if you miss the border coming up or cross it late coming down. Can't see a reason to come to town otherwise

Report Check-In

Same as previous ! But we had a little room with 2 mattresses on the floor for 6000.
