We just chose a dirt rode that looked like it went out to the ocean and drove very slowly for a long time. – PROS: empty beach to ourselves, paradise. CONS: none. – Free! – NOTE: Camping on all beaches on the Baja is free but for safety-sake if you see anyone around you should probably ask just to make sure.

The comment below with the GPS coordinates was handy! There are tons of little roads through here, but you can see the water pretty soon after you start and if you head in that direction you can't go wrong, we tended to stay right on the main path and that worked fine. The right side facing the water is where the beaches and the morning sun will hit your camp, to the left you are more in shade and the beach is rocky.... still beautiful. One other group of campers. 2wd is totally fine.
Report Check-InWow this location is amazing. Easy to reach by bike only 4.2km from MX1. I was lucky it's not windy but it's been my favorite spot up to now.
Report Check-InA little bit left because the plateau was full of garbage. The rest of Baja is hot here we are at 22 Celsius. Beautiful sunset. Alone.
Report Check-InPhenomenal wild spot. Loved being all alone here with the ocean, the rocks and the spirits of the whales whose bones dot the seashore . Great shell & rock hunting area and the ocean was warm and nice to dip into. Nice sandy areas at low tide .
Report Check-InAs described, nice empty sandy beach to oneself. Fire pit out of rocks at level spot but you will need to bring wood. Awesome sunset.
Report Check-Inlots of spots to camp near the ocean around here - rolled in at night and it wasn't too bad to find a spot to set up although I have been the area before. there's a comment with GPS for the road enter, thanks! about a 15-20 min drive to "the wall" depending on conditions (pretty torn up, muddy/wet currently) if you'd prefer to camp without others around. Would recommend high clearance although not necessary if you're in a Subaru or the like. no 4wd required.
Report Check-InHigh clearance road to a great spot on the rocky beach. I could see 4 wd being necessary if rains recently but otherwise easily going.
Report Check-InDon’t attempt if there has been rain with 2wd. There are a lot of slick dips. Made it to the other pull off marker in the rain, decided to head back
Report Check-InGreat spot! Only about 15mins off highway, and worth it to make the beach. Easily accessible with 2wd no problem. No cell coverage. Highly recommend!
Report Check-InSuch an awesome spot. Follow the coordinates to get to the turn off here 28.52333-114.05443. There are two dirt roads right before a long curve. Take the second option before the curve. it gets a little bumpy but nothing 2wd can’t handle. Pretty straight shot. Follow the road to the beach and enjoy! There are a few forks, but keep heading west. There was just one fisherman down the beach when we arrived, but he left at sunset. Beautiful free spot on the coast!
My husband found a little shark on the shore and our dogs got a classy lobster meal when they found a few dead on the beach. Lots of shells and a nice place to walk. It also has fire rings.
Report Check-InNice beach, amazing sunset, cold at night and REALLY strong wind.
There área several roads to get to the beach, we could drive easily with our 2wd and high clearence.
Wonderful. Spent Christmas on the beach here. Santa managed to find us anyway. There were a few muddy patches on the way in that were very slick. A 2wd van got stuck for an hour in one of those. Saw several pods of dolphins swim by. Beach has a natural seawall made of rounded stones.
Report Check-Inyou will definitely need a 4x4 for the road, there is a large washout about 1km down the road which we couldn't pass.
Report Check-Inawesome lonely spot! O.K for 2WD but tough! sadly some spots are littered with overlanding trash! its a shame! take your rubbish with you and try to take someone else's to keep this place clean!
Two other overlanding vehicles were there but beach is wayy too big!
Nice secluded beach. Dirt road was prox. 4km to get to the waterline. Road is in good condition. We saw some other vans arriving in the evening
Report Check-InVery nice, lonely boondocking spot!! Rough road in. We got it at 28.552333,-114.05443
Report Check-InWe observed whales here. Beautiful. The dirt road is for a Camper Van o.k.
Report Check-InNice Spot with several fireplaces. Very quiet at Night, watch for the tide, dont park too close to the water. Gravelroad about 4 km Long until you reach the Ocean.
