We went inside and a friendly guy working in the municipal office came out and answered some questions for us (the visitor center is open but not fully staffed yet for the season and there were no travel brochures yet).
It’s still early in the season and no campgrounds are open yet (that we’re aware of). We asked if it’s okay to stay in our van in the parking lot overnight. He said they don’t promote it but people do it and it’s no problem at all.
We slept here for two nights. Each night there was one other vehicle staying as well. This was a great option to spend the day at the National Park and explore the area and have a safe, quiet place to stay at night.
Nous y avons dormi une nuit, sans aucun problème.le centre est ouvert de jour de 09:00/17:00 pm . En bonus toilette et wifi.
Report Check-InVisitor centre is closed for the season. Asked at the adjoining municipal office if there was a place local & was invited to stay in the parking lot.
Report Check-InStayed here in September without being bothered by anyone. Arrived in the evening, left early. One other RV there. Nice quiet night despite being close to the road. Good wifi networks.
Report Check-InWe asked if we could stay overnight and the man at the visitor centre said technically no but people do stay. There were a few other overnighters with us. Quiet & dark for a night. Visitor centre open 9am - 9pm with water refill inside. There’s a little library book swap inside. Ok wifi from the carpark.
Report Check-InWe were told by the employees of the visitor center that overnight parking was forbidden and we had to leave.
Report Check-InGreat little stop for WiFi check in and to use restrooms in the morning. Opening hours are 9-5. We didn’t use the showers but the people were lovely who worked there and we were able to wash our cooking things and top up with water. We went into the beach car park areas down the road and noticed a few people had parked up over night there too. Didn’t seem to be anyone patrolling overnight so you could also give this a go if you wanted. This is early June.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot for the night. Great sunset from the golf course at the back
