Something not right?

Description

- free
- parking right by the sea in a park in front of a hotel (WiFi signal, we didn't ask for a password)
- Take the road to the sea, it ends with a little roundabout - turn right in front of the roundabout to get to a small concrete basketball field (we camped here), or turn left for a bit more private location also by the sea.
- The nearby Carara NP was ok, we saw some howlers, one scarlet macaw from afar and some other little animals. But nothing spectacular. There is a free wifi by the entrance to the park. Make sure to stop at the bridge north of Carara if you want to see some crocodiles, they usually hang out right underneath the bridge.

Latest Check-Ins

We stayed 2 nights on this beach. A very good and quiet place. Need 4x4 if you want to go until the beach, but not necessary.
Locals can sell you fresh fishes for few money. We saw lots of aras Macaws in the trees, mostly in the morning.
If needed, there is an hotel (house of Macaws) right near this spot with a pool, wifi. They also accepted to do 2 washing-mashing to help us: 15 USD. Expensive, but cheaper than everywhere else in this country. Cara (pura) vida!

Could be a nice space direct at the beach. However lot’s of noises: young people’s music, dogs, fishermen,….
Good for one night, not more.

Good spot on the beach. Unfortunately someone tried to break in while we were sleeping. We caught him and ran off (with nothing). I think this was an isolated event and would still recommend the spot. When we woke up we were surrounded by about 30 macaws in the trees. So epic!! Don't let this put you off, just make sure you lock everything in the night.
