We arrived at 13:30 and we had to wait for 4 hours to even enter the border area. We weren’t even that far behind in the line, maybe 20-25 cars in front of us, but for the first 2,5 hours we didn’t even move once. Once inside queue at the first booth to get your exit stamp, drive the car to the second booth to get it checked by customs and go inside to get the small import paper stamped in an office.

Arrived 430pm with 2 motorcycles, drove to front of the first queue and invited in through the main gate. Then passport stamp and bike exit stamp. Morocco side maybe 1 hr. Lots of people to point you in the right direction. Make sure you have the piece of paper for the bike/car they you when entering!

Arrived early afternoon at border. Took about 5 hours just to get past the Morrocan gate. Another hour at this gate in complete chaos. Had to have vehicle scanned but was not clear how or where to do this. Once through Moroccan side had to race to Mauratania border post as they were waiting to close border for night. Used the normal fixer used by others on Mauratanian side that helped especially as so late. In all 7 hours at the border. Partially because Moroccan side was closed for at least 2 hours with no explanation as to why.

Scan morrocan part, they did take our paper, scan finished, everything ok, but they keep our paper, they want some money…they let us wait 30 minutes for nothing

Easy and small border. First go to passport VISA stamp (in the middle of the road). Fast. Go to the policeman boss (dress blue uniform). They sign the CIN paper. Go to Duane inside the building, stamp TIP (that toke 30 minutes). Go to the barrier, show passport in the right. Barrier will open and you can go.

Mauritania to Morocco: Stamped out of Mauritania easily, no problem. Then stamped in and vehicle scanned on Morocco side. No costs at all. Total 3hrs.

Report Check-In

Entering Mauritania from Morocco. All good. We were the first in line to get the visa and it went relatively fast (1 hour without a fixer).
However the insurance guy scammed us. We should have paid 520 ouguias, but he charged us 680. It was too late to change anything when we found out, but I strongly recommend to get the insurance with the younger guy in the same office (just left of the road) as the old guy is a scammer.

Exiting Mauritania: Easy, friendly officers, just stamped our passports and collected the passavant.
Driving in the no man's land: no real track, just followed some rocky paths
Entring Maroco: Friendly officers, easy, but just be aware that they close the main gate at 17h, and the customs/scanner machine is working only till 18h.

Report Check-In

Endless amount of stamps but guards were friendly.

Report Check-In

Driving north, Mauretania to Marocco.
“No mans land” is rather rocky, stony.
Had some locals having a street blockade. Spoke to morroccan officials they said asit is not their territory they can’t do anything. It is up to UN to clear blockade. Spoke to the guys, and we could drive past.
Border is loads of stamps and they scan ur car.
Not allowed to bring in:weapons, drugs and flying objects. Eg drones. They scanned but couldn’t find mine. Overall easy.
Petrol and diesel cheaper then in Mauretania and available right after border

No problem crossing the border. Just a shitload of stamping (especially on Moroccan side). Took us about 4 hours total. Don't bring alcohol, they search your car on Moroccan side(for some weird reason even though you're leaving their country).

Paid nothing on Morroccan side and 55 EUR for the visa on Mauritanian side and I think something for the passavant. Visa office in Mauritania is run by some nice guys, took about 15 min (so way easier than getting it in Rabat!!).
Do not buy insurance for Mauritania on Morrocan side, almost 4 times as expensive!! Just after you finished everything on the Mauritanian side and you're through there's a exchange and insurance office there on the left. Think we paid about 20 EUR for 10 days car insurance.

Crossed from Mauritania in Morocco today with two motorbikes. It really did take 3-4 hours. Very heavy on the processing and stamping. Be sure to budget time. Friendly officials and no bribing. Also motorcycle insurance was pretty expensive on Morocco side, about 103 euros for the two of us for 10 days. Not sure if that's the price everywhere
