Amazing view over the chicamocha canyons. Big flat space. The way up is a bit rough and steep, better to come from the south... Secury checked several times, quiet at night. UPDATE: police might ask you to leave and parking overnight is not allowed here.

We went to the police station to ask if it was okay to park here for the night and he said that it was not permitted because its private land. He told us security goes up there to check often. you can try to stay, but if the police or security come around you might be asked to leave.
Report Check-InWe stopped here and it seems like a great place. However when we asked for permission from the police they said no. I tried talking to him a little bit and explaining that I know other people have camped here recently. His answer stayed a firm NO. Didn’t stay.
Report Check-InGreat place and free! It is steep and it is a very small road going up, you can easily miss it especially by night! We managed without problem with our 10m long rig. Police came and asked if we were given permission by the police station in front of the park and that we needed to ask permission first...so we did go and ask and all ok. And also, at least they know you are there in case of any problems. Quiet and safe night, we were on our own and saw nobody. A little bit of noise from road but not much choice around as you cannot park for the night at the park.
Report Check-InFree, quiet, huge panoramic views of the canyon. Couldn't ask for more on our way through. steep road in, but very doable with 2 wheel drive.
Report Check-InTotally awesome free spot, it's a nice big area that is pretty flat that offers views up both valleys. The flies were annoying during the day but got better after dark. There is road noise from the highway but at sunset it seemed to die off significantly
