Description

Situated at the end of an easy dirt road, next to duck pond and overlooking the waves... The view at night is amazing on the city and it is a safe place. During Summer, gets pretty crowded.

Well, difficult...

There seems to be an "illegal settlement" that is relatively new and only partly visible in the satellite image. There are not many (leveled) spaces left to park a vehicle or big rig (will add pictures), unless one would risk to park closer to the lake or the ocean (water level changes unclear to me).
I spoke to a local surfer. He said the people live there illegally and are very protective about their space. However, they might not be dangerous. If one would stay overnight, it is suggested to let the locals know, so that they don't feel threatened.
I decided to leave and not stay for the night...

many locals by the day (families, surfers, fishermen, motodrivers, firecampers...) but by night you are lonely.
Lot of trashes, but sad..

2020 February update: it is not a calm spot anymore. There's people partying during the night with big sound systems (loud karaoke style) and lots of people and cars and even small businesses (kind of food trucks) during the day... I would not recommended this place in high season: the noise, the trash, its absence of strutucture do not compensate the beach view that you can have else where.

great place outside the city at the end of an easy dirt road.
the view is stunning by day or night. Many locals and surfers great atmosphere. few people live close to the parking area but no problems at all. just no flat area

We spend two nights here. Full with local people during the day and night (summer vacantions and weekend), but apart from loud music no problem. A lot of trash :( Some locals appear to live there so it's possible to buy some food like empanadas. Felt safe thank to the presence of local people. Nice beach for surfers!

Perfect place for the night. Road ok without a 4x4. We were alone there all night, no sound.
Fishermans and surfers coming in the morning to check the beach but we didn’t really hear them before 7-8.

we had a good night here. hard to find a flat spot. fisherman's and surffers can come really early when still dark.

Report Check-In

Very busy in high season during the day. Lot of trash and it's hard to find a leveled place for car.

Nice spot to stop for the day and night, quite a few surfers around most of the day but they are very friendly. Quiet spot at night, nice view of the city. Alot of bird life around.

Situated at the end of an easy dirt road, next to duck pond and overlooking a mostly closing out wave... Away from garbage dogs and shitty reggeaton. The view at night is pretty amazing on the city!
