Description

Great place on a cliff that has tons of great views. Swimming pool Jacuzzi (although empty when I was there) paths to the beach with hammocks and bungalows. He has internet but Wi-Fi wasn't working but will let you use his computer. I ate Langostinos at the restaurant(best I've had yet) and didn't charge so stay. Wow.

Alonso and his team are very friendly, the sea views are excellent.

The owner didn't look happy to see me. He asked 15 USD pp/night. I left immediately.

New administration. Now the price to camp is 6USD pppn. The parking is small so it is better contact with the reception to know if have space: +593993423811 (Elysabeth).

Beautiful hotel perched on a headland between two beautiful beaches. The hotel is super quirky and everywhere has amazing views. We were allowed to use bathroom, shower (water is scarce) and the restaurant area to hang out. The private beach is beautiful and there is a man made rock pool near the headland. Very special. We felt bad staying for free so we bought delicious dinner on our last night there for $8 each, worth it for three nights accom and a lovely dinner and a cocktail. They even let us use the commercial kitchen to make food. Awesome place! Don't miss it!

This place is amazing. We stayed 12 days during the holidays of the end year, we parked in front of the beach and went to the hosteria in the top to use the toilets and the shower. Unfortunotly they are puting the place for rent, so problably the new manager will charge you. They didn't charged us, but we payed something like a contribution and to thanks them.

Such a beautiful place! The nice lady let us camp on their private beach next to the resort. FYI Very very soft sand a couple of meters out from the road that turns into sand, we got stuck so make sure you check sand first. No rubbish, cleanest beach we've seen so far in SA. Really nice blue ocean and very warm perfect for swimming in. We checked out the place before we left and wow is it beautiful such nice cabins and a nice restraunt definitely worth checking out. We also stayed for FREE.

Most amazing beachfront campspot we found so far in whole southamerica. We did not met Alonso yet, but the woman, who owns the spot was very nice and let us camp for free right next to the beach. There are small huts for shade with hammocks right on the beach. There is also a shower with cold water and a toilet. Just paradise after searching for such a place for a long time. Very safe and beautiful clean beach.

Alonso was great! The place is super nice. We were alowed to camp directly at the beach with an wonderfull view on the ocean and the cliff left from us. Bathrooms and showers (cold) are there as well. And this all for free. We was first a bit suprised, but he told us he is a friend of campers. Really great. We felt very save and stayed 5 days at this wonderfull place. Its also possible to rent cabins with ocean view. The whole place is made with much love from Alonso. At the beach it has little houses for shadow an chilling in a hamatte. Its possible to make a fire on the beach. We like this this place a lot a it where hard to leave. Thank you Alonso. You can find pictures from the place in our Blog dosberlingringos.wordpress.com (The entry with the shells as picture)

we spent one week in our campervan down at the beach. all calm and easy, a wonderfull time. alonso is definitively back, he is just the most charming person you can imagine, pablo neruda and lucky luke at the same time! don't miss this place, there is no equal for us so far in ecuador.

Report Check-In

Can't recommend this, unless you like a glassed-in jacuzzi with ocean view. Price actually is $14 per person plus 22% tax. Whoever we talked with spoke good English but wouldn't budge on the price, even though we were the only guests. We moved on...

The Owner Alfonso is nötig there anymore, he has rent the facilities. New staff charged us $14,00 a night. All amendities are not in the best condition anymore, nur still a nice location, bigger rigs than ours (7,00 m) may get problems. We had dinner, but this was not good and to expensive.

Report Check-In

We tried to stay here but were not welcome. Told to go down the road to Samvara. It seems that they had guests and only welcome overlanders if they're empty.

Yes, we are traveling in Jeff's tracks (TravelswithBarley). This is a fantastic spot. We can't imagine this place being free forever, but we would definitely pay to stay here! We paid nothing, but did buy dinner from the restaurant (not a requirement but we wanted to keep the karma going for future travelers).
