Description

A diamond in the rough. Ollague is a dump with no facilities. No ATM's, No Gas stations, nada ! We were lucky to come across this place with no signage out front. We arrived late in the evening with no Chilean money, only Bolivianos as there are no money changers at the border. There emptied our pockets of cash as they had us over a barrel so make sure you get the right currency way before the border. It is extremely clean and comfortable and the restaurant does good food. No Internet. We managed to score some Gas out back from a guy for an extortionate rate, but we needed it as there is no gas until Calama. Good secure parking out back for bikes. Probably get a rig in there.

Best place we stayed in for a long time came from Uyuni and by the border very late. Didn’t have any Chilien money but the lady let us stay with US dollar (but the $ should not be folded) she gave us a hard time for that). What a beautiful place very quiet and the old lady was so nice and helpful. Got really good breakfast lunch and dinner. Loved it safe parking in the closed backyard.

As stated, 15000ps p/p for a bed, 5000 p/p for dinner (pasta with some pieces of meat and no pasta sauce), bread, tea/coffee. Dinner was plain but satisfying, will feel super expensive though if coming from Bolivia haha. We had to pay some in USD which meant we ended up paying $5USD more. Very clean, lovely floor, warm beds, parking lot, our shower could do only either hot or cold. So we ran a bath instead. ;-) The man Victor (the owner and the father) spent some time helping us fix our leaking radiator hose so we appreciated our time there! :)

very clean, especially for chilean standard. Building rooms etc a relatively new. Dinner was not very special, not really worth the 5000clp. More more bone/fat than meat with a bit of rice and mayo. No WiFi available. Overall a good but expensive stay for one night.

As others have written, a very nice place. A bit cold, though, as I was the only guest and they did not have a fire going in the guest area.

15000 for one night in a double room. 4000 for dinner. 2000 for a small breakfast (two eggs, two more when I asked for it) . Gasoline: 1500 pr liter.

15.000 pesos per person for a twin room with private bathroom, breakfast was 3.000 pp extra and we also had dinner for 50 bolivianos pp (didn't have enough chilenos). The place is very clean, food was good and we were very happy to find it after a long day of washboards crossing from bolivia. The owner was really unfriendly but we were so happy to find a warm and clean place that we didn't care.
