Description

Update: Jan/2020- 250p foreign entry! They close trails if it has rained, so decide if you want to drive this way first.

Nice Parque with many waterfalls, which you can reach in short walks. We did the 1700m "hike"/walk to two small falls. Nice environment, friendly staff and cheap entrance fee at 20peso per person.

Because of the storm a month ago. Now there are lots of trees on the tracks.

Arrived at 5pm in heavy rain. Park ranger said we could stay the night since we are self contained. No leaving until morning, no night walks, no fires, etc... but night guard came and said not possible to stay. Had to find somewhere else.

250p entrance for foreigners. We returned the next day but the trails were closed due to the rain from night before so we decided not to enter, especially at foreign prices.

Beautiful and laid back place with a few nice walks to the various water falls. Entrance fee still 20 ARS. It has a surprisingly good restaurant open over lunch until 4 pm. It serves local specialties including an ice cream made with Mate. Never heard about this before but we liked it. Staff in the park and the restaurant are all very welcoming and supportive, especially Cesar.

We asked the chief but were not allowed to stay inside the park. At the reception they informed us about a campsite nearby. Piedras Blancas about 10 km from the park is an excellent campsite, beautiful setting, very clean and well maintained, even WiFi.

We asked the guardaparques if we could stay the night after our visit to the waterfalls. They had to ask the jefe Fabio, but he was extremely nice. We stayed at the upper parking lot where they currently build a new visitor center and could use the bathroom in the park. Super nice and quiet and ample Space!
