Zambia
Large campsite with chalets around the edges. Overland trucks also use this site. Under the flight path for Lusaka Airport. Bar with a bar menu. Loud at night. Thatched huts for some of the sites, and some braai stands. 200 kwacha pp

Nice campsite close to Lusaka. We enjoyed our stay. $16 pppn. The wildlife all around are a nice touch.
Report Check-InHaving seen mixed reviews we had low expectations. Very clean place, loads of space for camping as well as chalets. Zebra and giraffe nearby. Reasonable bar prices and good breakfast. Clean ablutions and plenty of hot water. Bar wasn’t noisy and campsite was quiet.
Report Check-InNice lication, but that is where it ends. Stayed here in July 2022 and now for a week. The Bar is very loud when you want to sleep. Some times no hot water and not much maintenance done to the place. Some customers are more important than others. Suggest you pay the premium and sleep some other place.
Report Check-InBig open grounds, thatch braai areas at some sites. Big Rig friendly. Clean ablutions, restaurant and bar available
paid 150kwa pp camping. good for a one night stopover.
Fees in june 2022 :
- campsite : 14 us$ for international customers
and only 100 Katchas for local people
Too expensive for international tourists
Report Check-InGood location. Worked for me. Swimmingpool and bar on site. Good stopover for visiting Lusaka
Report Check-InThink this place has past its best by a decade or so… many old time overlanders recommended this camp to me but was quite disappointed (run down and whole area didn’t have a good feel). Bar currently frequented by locals and they can sometimes play loud music late into the night… we actually elected not to use their sites and stay in one one their units as the camping didn’t look great. Units expensive for what you get at $60 for a 2 person room which was clean but poor quality beds. Much better to stay at Pioneer camp if you don’t need to do multiple days worth of admin in Lusaka as it’s a fair drive out. One positive about Eureka is the Lusaka South Country club being very close which is a great spot to grab a beer and meal at good rates as well as interact with a few expats (mainly Lekker old Zimbos).
Report Check-InAfter reading the reviews we were excited to stay at Eureka Camping Park, but sadly after 2 nights we left a little disappointed.
First of all, the animals are not in the camping ground. There is a fence that keeps them out and they all hang around on the muddy access road. So much for having breakfast with the giraffes.
The place is rife with monkeys. Don’t expect to cook or eat in peace. If you do manage to scare them away, the army of cats will bombard you instead.
Monkey proof bins have been figured out and all our rubbish was spread around the area in no time at all.
The showers were cold. Even after seeing the fire being lit and waiting over an hour, it was still an ice bath.
On the second day, they were cutting grass and the ladder on our rooftop tent was damaged.
Now... it was very windy and we were away for a few hours so I am not totally sure what happened.
But after speaking with the manager on the phone who promised to come down and sort out the problem... Some other guy that was not the manager arrived and said it had been windy. I explained that this tent has been through a lot and wind hadn’t been a problem before. He said he would go back to the manager and find out what happened, but no one returned.
Maybe we had a bad experience, but overall we found it expensive for what was in offer.
Report Check-InNice place. But now 180 ZMV pppn, 90 ZMV for kids under 12. We didn’t stay overnight.
Report Check-InNice to have the giraffs & zebras around & the employees are really friendly. There are overlanding trucks with tourists every evening, abolutions ok, but not too close to camping & limited selection & quality of food. Overall everything is utterly overpriced.
Report Check-In160kw pppn - ouch! However the giraffe, zebra etc wandering around the very well organised and excellent camp is very pleasant.
Report Check-InExpensive, but not a bad place to stay. Although we think there are better campsites in Lusaka at better prices such as Pioneer Camp. Place was clean with good ablutions and hot water. Power at sights and lots of game hanging around we had Zebra and Giraffe join us for breakfast. Paid 160zk pppn
Report Check-InNice huge place. Nice people. Restaurant with TV and socker fans.
Zebras and Antilopes around.
Electricity on some sites.
Internet 300K/100MB.
160ppn!
ok campsite, been to others that are better, no water at every camping spot m, no free WiFi which many other camp sites offer like waterfront in Livingston, also not that impressed with overall site and consider it expensive as far as camping goes.....they can do better
Report Check-InNice campsite and I really enjoyed the zebras and waterbuck coming at night, nice small bar but the showers are not very clean or nice, some new paint would help a lot but otherwise good setup with private shade roofs and tables for campsites and not too much noise from the road. Kw150 pppn or 12 USD
Report Check-InStill a nice place to stay. There was a party of locals. They drunk a lot and the pool area was full of rubish in the end. Zenras, giraffes and Kudus on campsite. Friendly staff. 480 Kwatcha for 4 (2 adults, 2 children) pn.
Report Check-InFriendly staff. I think it was 140 to camp. Hot showers bathroom is clean. Fair prices for bar and restaurant.
It’s an overlander place so you know the drill, you camp far from the bar and overlanders for peace. It was okay the night I’ve stayed so no noise complain.
Same as stated above for services.
WIFI is not free. 80zkw for 250 MB.
We were told and paid 130zkw pp for camping
Beer: 10zkw
We stayed here 5 years ago and had an awful time. A group of about 30 locals were having a party on the campsite - they were clearly extremely drunk and probably high, running around screaming and shouting until 4am. Security did nothing in spite of repeated requests.
We moved to Pioneer and vowed never to return.
This time some friends could not get into Pioneer due to the road conditions, so we agreed reluctantly to stay one night at Eureka with them. A weekday night was quiet, however I'm still concerned about this place - why do they need a gorilla cage around the bar and why is there razor wire on the wall between the men's and women's ablutions?
Open space for truckcamper, shaded sitting places, clean ablution, hot shower, electricity for the camper, no water supply. A place where overlander stay and than it is noisy.
Report Check-InAs per previous visits pleasant spot with giraffe, zebra and a few buck wandering around and occasionally into the campsite. 220V in shelters, pool, bar, slowish wifi, fair ablutions. Stay spoilt by loud music from bar till 2330 for the benefit of just TWO visitor drinkers not staying at the site. Sites like this need to decide if they are running a campsite or a night club – the two are incompatible.
Report Check-InOur 2nd visit to this camp for convenience for Malls & supermarkets ..extremely noisy at weekends with local day visitors . 3 overland trucks , which were not a problem apart from the amount of people trying to use limited showers & toilets .very expensive at K 150 (14 USD pp night).
Report Check-InWe stayed overnight here, nice camp spots with braai facilities and electricity points. Watch the monkeys! Zebra and giraffe regular the site, there is a bar, and chalets if you like. But on the prices side- at 150 Zkw pppn for camping.
Report Check-InNice camping but bit expensive (150 zkw), some animals walking around, internet but not free
Report Check-InConvienently located on outskirts of Lusaka, one large area, pick your own spot, some braiii areas, a few water taps, some electric points but no electric at all from 6am to 2.30 pm (a national issue) ablutions not great, showers a trickle or no water sometimes, can be busy and noisy with overland groups 150kw pppn
Report Check-InAn OK Stop for the night, facilities are tired and not fantastic. Expensive 150kwz.
Report Check-InGrassy and shady spots, with zebras, giraffes and monkeys in the small private game farm around it. ZMW150 pppn.
Report Check-Inbig camping with some shelters. light and electricity available there. very muddy, when rainy. zebras and giraffes visit the place, monkeys as well
Report Check-InA little bit too big for our taste (overlander buses), unfortunately they had a party with loud music, 80 ZMW pppn
Report Check-InNice campsite in a small park outside Lusaka. Giraffe, antilope and zebra around the campsite.
Report Check-InLarge campsite with chalets around the edges. Overland trucks also use this site. Under the flightpath for Lusaka Airport. Bar with a bar menu. Thatched huts for some of the sites, and some braai stands. Central standpipe.
Cost:ZKW40
Report Check-In10kms south of Lusaka. Popular overlanders camp – pool, bar, good ablutions. 80ZKW.
