Nature preserve area and great place to watch the whales in season. This area is a good spot for bush camping as some wind cover can be found. No facilities but a few trash cans and two chemical toilets. Take your trash with you when leaving. If you want facilities there is a muni camp in Puerto Piramides (S42 34.420. W64 16.747. ). No dogs allowed on this place since it's a Nature Reserve. Movistar and Claro 3G work well.

Overnight stays are no longer permitted along the Ruta 42. Yesterday we were sent away by two rangers. The next places to stay overnight are either at the campsite in Puerto Piramides or the beaches south of Puerto Madryn.

Report Check-InWent there on a Saturday night. We were alone, no reggaeton. Quiet night but windy.
Report Check-InWonderful place even though we missed the whales. Just meant that there was nobody else here! Fortunately little to no winds. Very pleasant!
Report Check-InNice place with good wind-shelter. Watch out for rodents, they destroyed some cables of our camper.
Report Check-InWe liked this beach a lot and even saw some whales from really up close (maybe 20 meters).
For us it was a fantastic experience to see a whale mother and her baby swim by from so close and observe them interact with each other.
We think even this time of the year you can get lucky. One day we saw 5 of them...and the day after we didn't see anything. So maybe just bring some time and patience and you might get lucky as well :-)
Pasamos 4 días, muy buen lugar, seguro y con baños. Los niños jugaron mucho y se vieron ballenas.
Report Check-InReally nice place with wind protection.
Rancher told that November is low season for wals. Wals get their babies July and August. than you can see up to 30 wals in front of the beach. All guide books write it wrong! !!
Amazing place with literally dozens of whales a few meters from the beach in July. There are Rangers at the beach, a couple rental toilets. Free to stay as long as you want, the only condition is not to empty your toilet in the rental toilets and to carry your trash when you leave. Gorgeous.
Report Check-InWe stay here one night at the end of the Road. We filled up one big bag of trash from the Beach
Report Check-InParked up and chilled on the beach behind a bush. Windy to park and cook with the door open so might have to re-think.
Report Check-InWe spent two nights camping here, and we also had the luck to see wales at this place!
There are some bushes for windprotection for the tents, and also parking spots for campers!
Report Check-InThis place is NOT closed. So, self contained campers are welcome to stay here for free. We got this information from the park ranger which operates the infomation desk right here (on the white container) in an unregular basis. On this place there are some portable toilet and trash bins.
Report Check-InSeems they are making a very concerted effort to prevent vehicle access to the beach with bollards. Also many signs saying no camping. Very nice parking and picnic area.
Report Check-Inwe are here for a second time. really nice spot, quiet, even on a saturday night in november. dixi toilets, trashbins nearby at an information hut (which was closed). internet 3g- no wifi.
Report Check-InLots of pretty, remote areas to camp along this coast. Long pebbled beaches to walk on and plenty of space to be all alone. No facilities other than trash cans. Even on a four day weekend we were by ourselves. Negative is there were lots ( hundreds) of flies when we were here when it was hot and we had no wind. Cooler windy days they were not bad at all. Might be a pain if you had to cook outside. But at least no biting bugs and good water to swim in if it is hot outside.

If you want facilities there is a muni camp in Puerto Piramides (S42 34.420. W64 16.747. ). We didn’t check it out but it is probably better than the ACA campground listed below.
