Known as Panga Beach, sits at the northeastern edge of Bahia de San Juanico. Park anywhere out of the way of the fisherman.
Further out on the point is more free camping on the boundaries of the Cantina property. If you use any of the Cantina services toss some pesos to them.
No atms here in town but a few shops accept USD but a bad exchange rate. Fuel at Chino's.
We think the original coords were off (as was 500meters into the sea) so were've updated to 26.254519, -112.477551. Also there are no Palapas here anymore (Oct 2019) or anywhere on the surrounding beaches but not really a problem as we have a side awning.
Located next to the beach access point, on or before the shingle barrier. Two basic pit toilets within meters. Restaurant within 50 meters, the lights stayed on all night so it felt more secure staying here.
Park on or before the stones as high tide on full moon comes very high up nearly covering all the sand.
Also, further down the beach just before the fishing boats is another pit toilet on sand, which would be another good spot but be careful of the soft sand!
Report Check-InBeautiful place to camp in this beach. Be careful to not get stocked on the sand. Check also for the tide when it's full moon, we saw people get stocked and we help them. To the left of the beach is the harbour of the fisherman who catch really good lobster!!!! On the Friday is the local market on the village, go it's awesome!
Report Check-InNice palapas at the beach. You can enter it from both sides. Watch the tide. Locals stay here as well.
Report Check-InCamped here for a couple of nights. A nice little spot, fun to watch all the fishermen pushing their boats out in the water just before sunrise. The pit toilets are a bit nasty, but the beach is clean with very little garbage floating around.
Report Check-InStayed on the beach for 3 nights. Palapas are nice and seemed newer. We were warned about the tide as well, but even with a new moon it didn't come all the way up while we were here. There are a couple stores up the street for basics. Internet In town is slow and unreliable. No gas in town either.
Report Check-InSome palapas on the beach off of Isla Nevadidad at break 1. Be aware of the tides (especially at new moon). Restaurants and stores nearby. Showers at store (50pesos). Fresh shrimp and lobster at store near church. Free.
