If your not under the main bridge (it’s like a megaphone pointing down on you) the noise isn’t that bad. It lulls us to sleep. We stayed two nights and would definitely stay again if we returned. Beale street is a nice walk of about 1.2 miles. 24hr security. Bass Pro is pretty amazing. Go watch the Peabody Hotel duck march. Hunt for your favorite artists musical note ten feet off of Beale.
Report Check-InFor some reason the designated overnight parking is right under the highway and overpasses and it is REALLY noisy.
There is a perfectly fine and empty parking lot on the North side that I’m sure would be quieter, but no overnight parking allowed.
Safety and location are great, but zero sleep doesn’t make up for it. I would stay here again.
Stayed one night. Road sounds above a bit loud but didn’t bother us. Found a flat spot, and managed to charge our batteries w/ solar in the AM without too much shadow from the overpass. Felt safe & secure, and used the bathroom inside in the morning
Report Check-InIt really is loud. If you are under 30 ft and you cannot find a parking place that is not directly underneath the highway ramp? find a street parking place. For people who are 25 and longer definitely 30 ft. This might be the only place you can find at least on a Saturday night. definitely get here early to try to get a spot that is not under the highway ramp. Or get here really late and you have a better chance of getting a spot in case there's a convention happening across the street. But it's definitely loud.
as a place to work virtually? absolutely. It's not ideal. it's not the prettiest but you can definitely do it.
Report Check-InIf you can deal with the above interstate noise, then it's almost perfect. I would say perfect if they had some kind of close by 24-hour bathrooms. If you're here during the daytime it's no problem. Bass pro shops has bathrooms also the visitor welcome center nearby as bathrooms. All this is closed at night time however and you must go to a nearby gas station sometimes Beale Street does not offer the easiest bathrooms either West Memphis Arkansas travel centers are probably the best bet. Other than that it's well lit there's police and security presence. They do not mind if you park as long as you park on the North side under the overpasses they are usually trucks and RVs parked I personally was doing car camping in a hybrid.
Report Check-InDon’t forget your ear plugs! Parking is on the south side, under the underpass. I’m a light sleeper but the noise is doable, even car camping with the windows cracked, with ear plugs and some white noise. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. The area is patrolled and monitored. Some folks showed up causing a ruckus (just using the parking, not staying) and within 5 minutes, probably less, the security was there. Several other folks there from RVs to schoolies.
Report Check-InChecked in with staff at Bass Pro Shop and they directed us as to where to park. Several RV’s already parked in area. Wednesday night so area not very crowded. Solid wi fi. Security patrols lot regularly!
Report Check-InI’m glad I had ear plugs with me. Blocked out the road noise above and slept very well. Three of us rvs were here for night. Very large lot but attendant inside he preferred us to park under the bridge as to not take parking away from customers.
Report Check-Inwe stayed the night parked under the overpass it was loud, we masked the sound with a tender storm on the sound machine the sounds from the bridge blended right in. slept great no issues. 5g service with verizon
Report Check-InWe had two great nights here. Other than the infrequent train going by we had very quiet nights staying on the north side of the pyramid.
We rode bikes along the river path to Beale street in less than 10 minutes. The trolley was an experience but it took at least an hour to get to Beale st. Try it once then either walk or rent a scooter!
We had fun watching the sunset from the observation deck of the pyramid. It’s an $8 admission but I bet if you made a reservation for the restaurant you could use that money for a drink at the top instead. I think you get free transport up if you make a reservation.
We would stay here again. The 24 hr security was a bonus knowing our van was looked out for while we went and played all day!
Safe location to stay overnight. There were 3 other vans when we stayed here. It’s technically walking distance to Beale St however it was dark and we were unsure about walking at night on the edge of town so we took a 5 min Uber over to Beale St instead. The parking lot is lit up and security patrolling. Bass Pro employee confirmed it’s fine to stay without needing to sign anything or give advance notice. It was very noisy with the highway right above, but was manageable for 1 night.
Report Check-InNice spot on North side of pyramid. Asked security and said it will be ok, no body bothered. We hear traffic from the highway above.
Report Check-InVery loud overhead highway bridge meant i couldn't sleep and had to move on. large well patrolled area with flat spaces. Possible to walk or scooter downtown. great for a visit or if you can handle the noise.
Report Check-InOpen lot; other RV’s on the North Side of pyramid. Interesting place!
Report Check-InSpent 2 nights here. Lots of road noise (didn't bother me) felt safe and is right next to the bridge which was cool. The store itself is crazy awesome too.
Report Check-InGiant Bass Pro Pyramid. Slept here 2 nights. Plenty of other Vans and RV. 24 hour security drives around all night. Great spot to rest!
Report Check-InPros and cons. Pros, the Bass Pro people are wonderful, there’s plenty of space, and the I40 bridge lights up prettily at night. Cons, skateboarders and souped up car enthusiasts hang out and make lots of noise late into the night. I would not stay again.
Report Check-InStayed one night with no issues. Easy mile
or so walk to/from Beale Street along the river. The bridge is lit up at night l, so nice views during the walk. Safe and level but window covers are a must because there are parking lot lights on all night.
Some parts of parking lot are hectic and busy, nice to see people playing and enjoying life but not good for sleep. So I pulled next to the unmanned remote police station in the parking lot. Much quieter there from both parking lot activity and overhead interstate.
Report Check-InBass Pro parking was nice and flat and sanctioned by Security. Quiet. Inside the pyramid are many amenities.
Report Check-InStill checks out. A few other campers nearby. Super loud with the bridge overhead, so if you’re a light sleep be warned. Other than that, a convenient place to crash for the night.
Report Check-InStayed 2 nights. Called and verified with the store that I was okay to stay and they said I was. Close to downtown area, I did a lot of biking.
Report Check-InGPS location shows parking in front of visitor center. It is closed right now. But parking of the bass pro shop is open, securised, big. The guard says yes to stay all the night. It is under the highway so it is noisy but really OK. No amenities. Restrooms, eat, drink, hotel available in the bass pro shop. Free. Not for tent. Very interesting shop!
Report Check-InOpen to park overnight at the Pyramid. Interesting place to wander and spend a free night in the city.
Report Check-InWe slept here two nights and it was fine. We parked in the northern parking and we didn’t hear much the highway noises. It was quiet, except for the trains in the morning. There were a patrol but didn’t ask and it was perfectly fine. Clean washrooms in the store available during store hours (9am to 10pm). And while you are there, visit the store: it is an attraction in itself.
Report Check-InLe parking est très bien pour la journée, bien surveillé.
Mais à éviter la nuit, le bruit des camions et voitures sur les ponts est insupportable.
It’s fine to park here. There were many RVs here overnight. The Bass Pro Shop is actually kind of a fun stop. Our son has a blast in there. Overnight though it is VERY loud. We would not stay here again. The overhead interstate and train close by was just a bit much for us. Didn’t get a good sleep.
Report Check-InWe checked with the security guard driving around in his truck before spending the night. Super nice guy. We spent one night. A fair amount of freeway noise but safe and easy
Report Check-InType in Bass Pro
shop Pyramid in GPS. I asked security if I could stay the night and he said okay. It was quiet except for train going by .
Parking d'un énorme centre commercial pour la chasse et la pêche, le coin est tranquille mais pas mal de bruit de camion et train durant toute la nuit. Pas de Wifi
Report Check-InOverall good spot for the night besides the many mosquitos. Security confirmed we can stay mentioning the north side is safer since it's patrolled.
Report Check-InThis place is good to go again apparently. Asked the security guard if we were ok to stay and he quickly said yes.
Report Check-InWe asked the security car and they told us we were fine to stay for the night!
Report Check-InNot possible anymore we asked the security guy and he said we can’t park for the night anymore
Report Check-InThere's free RV parking next to the welcome center. Open wifi. Good place to visit downtown and the river side although there's also lots of affordable open air parking in the center. Technically there's no parking from 11pm to 7am here but they told us no one cares. We had a good night. But there's also overnight parking by the pyramid just down the road.
Report Check-Inclose to visitor centre.
you can ask the security car for overnight. no problem. quite.
