Small, free campground in Flathead National Forest. Lake access. Trains do go by a lot, but they sound pretty cool.

Great little free USFS campground. Clean vault toilet, but no TP. Train does come by, but not an issue. No one else here. Trails to explore! No Verizon service. We were fine in our transit van on the road in.
Report Check-InReally nice campsite. Each spot had a picnic table and fire ring. There was one other van there. Couldn’t see them since I left a site in between. Train noise didn’t bother me.
It snowed and there were some small downed trees. Cut them up with my axe and dragged them off the road on my way out.
Report Check-InNice spot. good views of the lake. the train is infrequent and not a bother at all.
Report Check-InNice campground with partial views of the lake, but trains go by late into the night and are loud enough to wake me up, and I’m a heavy sleeper. Beautiful area and would be a great spot if you have a boat as there is a boat launch next to the campground.
Report Check-InWonderful campsite! 5 sites, fire pits and benches, pit toilets, lake access. We saw beavers, osprey, and deer. There is a hiking trail that you'll pass on the way in called Finger Lake Trail. There are a number of choices of trails. We did the trail to Finger Lake, which has rocks at the end you can jump from into the lake. About 1.5 miles in. Easy trail. Beautiful spot!
Report Check-InOnly has 5 camp spots . Super clean . Picnic tables and firepit . Five day limit . Would go here again
