A beautiful location about 1km south of the small town of Rio Tranquillo. There are wind breaks and huge tables, but no roofed shelters. The showers are amazing, and bathrooms are spotless. The owner also sells firewood and will light up the sauna if enough people are interested. Electricity in the office (small fee).
(May be closed seasonally)
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Looks like it’s closed for the season. Both gates locked up tight.
Report Check-InBeautiful place. You get the best spots near the beach when coming with a big rig. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. $9000/pp, absolutely worth it!
Report Check-Innice Campsite at the lake with two entrance. for a Car Take the north one. 16.000 for 2 Persons and 1 campervan. showers very good.
Report Check-InA campground with a great view. 9000 CLP pp. No fires, only gas stoves, hot water from 8pm-11am. No wifi or electricity. Make sure you don't get screwed over by getting a site next to the bathrooms. See photo for campground layout. The office and the campground are separate - the turn in for the office is closer to the town (both are signposted). +56 9 8920 5085
Report Check-Inwe loved this spot.
Showers were amazing and really clean as were the toilets.
Lovely views across the lake and when we were there, there was only us and two of the spots occupied.
My lad went for a swim in the lake, and announced it very cold!
Report Check-InWe stayed here 1 night, it sure has nice views and good wind shelters if tent camping but, for the price you pay you don’t get much else. They charge 9,000 now but not power, no WIFI, no light, no toilet paper… hot water between 8pm and 11am but that’s it.
So we relocated to La Nutria 20 kms west of the village on the road to Bahia exploradores. Way better there for less cost!
Wanted to check in at 11 am but was told to return at 1 pm. Fair enough. Came with 4x4 Camper and was exactly instructed where to pitch. Enjoyed the hot shower which also had excellent water pressure. 4G connection with Entel SIM card however only 2 bars. Stayed only one night. Recommend. For tents there are wind protected areas which Alicia (the owner) allocates when you arrive. Well looked after area and clean showers and WCs.
Report Check-Inindeed a great location, however I found the camping rather full and the upper places (lavatories zone) are pretty average and difficult to find a horizontal spot. Not really acceptable that there is no electricity available in the campsites nor bathroom blocks for 8'000 CLP.
Did find the owner rather assertive on were to park my van, which I understand as rather full, still did not appreciate.
she did not mention availability of sauna mentioned in other comments.
incredible views, camping by the beach, nice lady. 8000 by person (we did not pay for the car)
laundry service as well (6000 by load)
Amazing location and view. A bit windy but we were almost alone so we found easily a protected spot. Hot showers very clean from 8pm to 11am
Report Check-InBest Camping in Puerto Rio Tranquilo. On the lake side with acces tot pebble beach. Cel phone coverage but no internet. Hot showers from 20:00 till 11:00. 8000 pp.
Report Check-InLovely camp site at the lake. Showers are hot and clean. We came back for a second night because we loved the view of the lake from the camp site.
Report Check-InNice camping near the lake!!! We had nice weather and we use the beach to swim clean bathroom
Report Check-InNobody on our day.
8000 Pesos per pax. Pricey for the service. Only one toilet and one shower opened. Not the sheltered...
Good view.
Only
As of this month, camp ground doesn’t appear to be open. As others have said, most likely seasonal! Lovely views! Wish we could have stayed!
Report Check-InPudu is not permanently closed. It was open and still glorious when we arrived. Great location at the lake. Hot showers, clean bathrooms. 8000 per person per night.
Report Check-InThis place is not closed. You need to knock on the door of the main building to pay. Hot water is turned on at 8pm. Great location on a beach. 14+ spots and one 3 filled last night.
Report Check-InAs advertised, and as a bonus; they have a cool cat named Gringa that visits you :-).
14.000CLP for two and a camper.
Report Check-In14000 for 2 Pers and Big Rig / Night
He dont likes if you fill up Watertanks from Camper because there musst be a Big Tank for everyone and he told me it has not enough for everyone...
But different rules for locals...
Report Check-InBest value for money campsite around. Might not have wifi but in this lovely location you don't want to waste your time online.
Amazing view of the lake and mountains.
Well sheltered. Great showers/toilets.
Amazing views of the lake. Nice wind protected camp sites. Good for rigs (not big ones). I saw an iveco daily and a truck camper. 14000 pesos for 2 of us and the rig( truck camper). Hot showers run from 8 pm to 12 pm only. Very clean bathrooms. The way from the main road to the camp site is a little steep but not too much. Over all a good place.
Report Check-InLoved it to bits! If we could, we would have stayed there for several weeks!
Report Check-InBeautiful view. Windy, so choose your spot carefully. Clean bathrooms. No hot water, could have been wrong hours??
Report Check-InVery clean and Nice campground by the lake. Every site has a wooden windshield. We paid 7000 pesos pp. Hot showers between 8pm and 12am.
Report Check-InPrice went up this year CHP 7000 per person. This is one of the more expensive campings, feels overpriced. Showers are good by chilean standard and sites look nice, but no electricity and Internet.. Showers are gas heated with common household heater, good pressure for one shower at the same time. Believe showers are until 12 noon, not midnight. Location on this side of the lake means no sun in evening.
Report Check-InCamping met mooie ruime plekken (mede geschikt voor Campers) aan het meer General Carrera. Schoon sanitair.
Report Check-InFull service campground just outside PuertoTranquillo. 6000P/person. Hot showers from 8pm to midnight. Nice area to do dishes and hand wash clothes and hose with water to fill rig, but overpriced since almost all sites have zero view and there is no wifi. Also, bathrooms were co-ed, kind of weird coming out of shower same time as an old man in shower next to me who only had a small towel...
Report Check-InBeautiful campground at the lake approx 1.2km south of Puerto Rio Tranquilo. The sites are large and fairly level. Each site has a BBQ and tables. Sites nr 7 and 8 are the most exposed ones to the wind. There are wind shelters but they are not high enough for the car. Super clean bathrooms with hot showers (8pm - 12am, wood fired). Water tabs on the campground but no power. We paid 6'000 pesos per person (you can charge you devices at the owners office for an extra 500 pesos per device).
Report Check-InVery nice campground with windbreak walls and grills, hot showers, toilet, faucetCIP 10,000 ./Nightcan book the tour to the Marmolhöhlen from the campsite. You are picked up and all for CIP 5000 .--/Person
south of the village

Report Check-InLovely campsite with great views of the lake. Probably the best toilet and shower block of any campsite we’ve been to on this trip. Amazing hot showers with good pressure. Wind breaks. Firepits. Picinic Tables. Sauna (CH$12000 for 4). Campsite CH$5000 per person.
