They refuse to fill gas cylinders if they are of a different brand. I have a cylinder from the country of Chile, i.e. they do not require additional adapters. they refuse to fill Abostible's cylinder. They refuse to replace the cylinder. Even considering that I am a traveler.

Could not fill my german gas bottle even though I brought an US adaptor. Seems like on the west of south america there are not too many possibilities to fill up your foreign bottle betweenn El Chalten and Ushuaia. Tried Puerto Natales as well but without any luck.

They cant refill as they dont have the stuff anymore.
You can only exchange your Gasco bottles.

They don’t exchange bottles. You can buy bottles of 2 or 11 litres.

Now all chilean bottle brands accepted except Codigas (which was bought by Lipigas). Close over noon but are open saturday. For the moment no credit cards accepted.

Indeed, no propane (camping) gas tank refills anymore, only Gasco exchanges. Only these bottles accepted in Magallanes Region, rest of Chile compatibles Abastible, Codigas, Lipigas. Closed between 1 and 3 PM.

Attendant said he couldn't do it because not legal. After telling him that we were empty and waited .until arriving here because friends said they got propane here, he filled and asked us not to tell anyone. So....here we are telling everyone. Oy! Perhaps only go if you are really in trouble with your propane level and be discreet and cool to the attendants.

it is not possible to fil the portable tanks at this place anymore - owner received this order from the Gasco headquarter - he is quite frustrated about it as he filled tanks for travellers for many, many years.

Great ! They could fill in our french cylinder. They have all adaptors ! We also exchange a Chilean Lipigas cylinder with a new Gasco cylinder.
10000 pesos for 5 kg
15000 pesos for 11 kg
18000 pesos for 15 kg
But pay only with cash.
