Description

This is a random trail off the main road but if you drive into it there are several clearings and a few spots where others have clearly camped before - rock firepits, etc. there may also be wildlife bc there is a big dead cow that looks like it's been there awhile. really awesome spot with INCREDIBLE views!! 2wd ok

Stayed one night in our converted minivan. Lots of space , fairly level for our needs. No internet for Verizon. Quiet. By road but it’s not well traveled at night. Peaceful area with shade and sun. Good views. No one else here.

Report Check-In

As described, easy access (2wd Sprinter, 19 ft), several spots on left and right. Firm ground, but hard to get level. Only 1 other RV here last night. Close to highway but v little noise as v little traffic

Report Check-In

Cool little spot, 2wd and l clearance friendly. Might not be advisable if it's wet, some of the more sand areas seem like they'd be prone to getting stuck. v small little fire ring. it's pretty quiet, very few cars. No one else camping here tonight that I can tell. I camped down the right fork after the pull off. There's a pit restroom 3 minutes east. it's pretty small and turning around is a bit of a process so just like,,,,be prepared

beautiful views. we stayed in our campervan. it was a bit hard to find a level spot for it. RV's and trailers definitely won't fit but vans and cars will. no one else was there.

Great wild campsite with multiple spots. We were the only ones camping this night. It is near the highway but it was quite because of very little traffic. Has some fantastic views.

Report Check-In

We were the only ones here on a weekday. If you take a right from the road entrance there are some beautiful open spots to tent camp or park a small campervan. Lots of animal bones (maybe the cow mentioned in the other reviews?) at one spot. Some traffic noise, but not bad.

Report Check-In

Quick and easy to get to (low clearance/2wd perfectly fine), and the views truly are amazing.

Report Check-In

Good spot, overnighted in RV here. Close to road but not visible from road. Not much traffic at night so no noise complaints.

Report Check-In

Several sites in the Juniper/Piñon forest, not far from the highway (which means you’ll hear traffic). Many fire rings, but please don’t build fires — the West has had enough already. Thank you.

The best thing about this location are the views of the highest steps of the Grand Staircase. Lovely.

Good place to stay, beautiful view and quiet. Different spot available everything is in the sand. Far from the road, but you can still hear it ! But not a lot of traffic.

Nice Spot, We have choose the camp site down the off road (1m30 by car from hway). We were alone this night. Close of the Hway but completely hidden from cars. Pretty quiet and clean. No water. No toilets. No cell coverage (AT&T) but fire pits available. The view and the atmosphere here are very good. Felt safe. Room for 5-8 cars along the off road. The road is ok for 2wd. (The dead cow is apparently gone). I recommend

Report Check-In

Beautiful shady spots in the left area, hidden from highway.

[Oups. Erase my last comment. Wrong review.]

Stayed one night and it was ok. Hidden from the street. Road ok for 2wd. Just past the summit lookout on hwy 12 westbound. Nice views if you walk around. No cell reception.

Report Check-In

Did not stay because too close to the road and visible. Had AT&T reception though.

Report Check-In

Stopped for lunch. Would be a good option to camp without having to go far off the road at all.
